If they censored a Black Lives Matter shirt, you’d call it racism. If they censored a Love Is Love shirt, you’d call it homophobia. Call this what it is: transphobic censorship. Shame on you, BBC

Finally caught up on LANTERNS, and it might be the best superhero show of the decade. Pitch-perfect writing, phenomenal performances from Aaron Pierre, Kyle Chandler and Kelly Macdonald, and a fascinating take on the Green Lantern mythos and the nature of fear. DC Studios is FAR from cooked.

This article buries the lede that FUCIKING TONY BLAIR is also a board advisor?! David Ellison, Bobby Kotick, and Tony Blair. Is the Skydance board supposed to run a media empire, or is it an invite-only club for the world's richest living scumbags? Seriously. Kotick was in the Epstein files. WTF!?

The Simpsons/Futurama dichotomy is fascinating. You have one show that everyone says should end already, yet refuses to. Then you have another that keeps on ending perfectly but, sooner or later, they bring it back again.

Just back from the new RESIDENT EVIL movie, and... They finally did it. They made a good one. No, scratch that. They made a GREAT one! There have been a lot of fantastic horror films this year. I wouldn't say RESIDENT EVIL is the best one, but it is easily the most fun. See it big and loud! ★★★★½

Been obsessed with Star Wars: Zero Company for the past week! For my money, it's hands-down the best Star Wars game this generation. Its blend of XCOM-style tactical battles and Mass Effect-influenced character interaction, paired with a great original story, is utter catnip to me. Well worth a go!

Just finished FURIOUS, one of the best new TV shows of 2026. It's one of the most harrowing, and yet invigorating, pieces of crime drama I've ever watched. A truly idiosyncratic show with a morbid sense of humour and some truly devastating performances. If you have Hulu/Disney+, do not sleep on it!

Pitch: Alan Carr and a series of LGBTQ+ guests review cars from the perspective of people who don't know anything about cars, and occasionally go on road trips and do challenges where they show off their lack of driving skills. I call it "Top Queer." TV comissioners, my email is...

Every single movie adaptation of a Mark Millar comic book is better than the source material, mostly because they sand away a lot of the sophomoric edgelord cringe and "humour" that permeates his writing. Even Kick-Ass 2, a bad movie, is still better than its comic counterpart.

I picked three movies about unconventional romances, and then one about Orson Welles waxing lyrical about the art of forgery.

My Criterion Closet picks:
In the Mood for Love (2000, d. Wong Kar-wai)
F for Fake (1973, d. F for Fake)
Punch-Drunk Love (2002, d. Paul Thomas Anderson)
Bound (1996, d. Lilly & Lana Wachowski)

The trailer for Adam Wingard's latest ONSLAUGHT looks decent, but I know I'm immediatelly sold as soon as I hear Dan Stevens doing a ridiculous European accent. This man cannot be stopped, and I don't want anyone to even try.

Dan Stevens as Alexander Lemtov in "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga" (2020)

Dan Stevens as Mr. König in "Cuckoo" (2024)

Dan Stevens as Alo Glo Man in "Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities" (2022)

It's incredibly ironic that Darkman was created because Sam Raimi didn't get the job to make a Batman movie, and then years later, we're getting a Batman spin-off movie that's clearly inspired by Darkman. Anyway, movie looks cool!

I'm not going to count indies I saw at a film festival that either didn't or barely got a public release, because that doesn't seem fair. Putting those aside, it's a toss-up between Pixels and this year's Return to Silent Hill. Both video game-related, but both awful in very different ways.

I've actually been working on a pitch for a new Nightmare on Elm Street, and the crux of it is that there is NO Freddy. He is definitively dead in-universe. So instead...there's a new Dream Killer. New motivations, new aesthetic, new ideas, but still carrying on the legacy of Craven and Englund.

Losing 10kg in just under 2 months is honestly astonishing. I’ve been on a weight loss journey for the past year and lost only 20kg (still got 2-3kg to hit target and be eligible for SRS referral). You should be incredibly proud of that.

A screenshot of IMDb's Trending People tab, showing Abigail Thorn has risen 4,061 spots to be ranked 28th at time of posting. Screenshot also shows Nicholas Braun has risen 1,840 spots to No. 34, as well as the current Top 4: Zoey Deutch, Nick Robinson, Milly Alcock, and Sam Worthington.

For anyone about to say "this is how it's been on PC for ages": On PC, you have options on where to buy digital games. Steam, Epic, GoG, itchio, Humble, and many more I am forgetting or don't even know about. On Playstation, if you don't buy physical, your ONLY option is PSN. Fuck this.

Bunch of big games’ physicals have basically just been a download code on a disc (e.g. 007 First Light, Oblivion remaster), but at least those are reusable. A one-off code in an empty box is clearly them avoiding trade-ins and second-hand sales.
