I dropped my seed trays on the floor right after planting, this is going to help me soooo much! 😊

Just like everyone else they all have their own personalities, but joy here would just love it if I carried her around all day. She runs around my feet until I pick her up. 😂

They do have a strong smell when they have expanded, its a great way to find them. You have to collect the 'eggs' before they expand, remove the white outside 'veil' and 'jelly'. The inside when fresh taste like mild radish. I have also sliced and dried them to add to meals as a mushroom stock. ☺️

Jenni Wren @jenniwren.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

They are aptly named and rather delicious. ☺️

Photos never really do landscapes justice, in my opinion. I can only imagine how stunning it must have been, it is a cracking shot that has sparked my imagination. Thank you for sharing.

Fantastic! You are absolutely right, their egg production drops at 18 months old so they are sold off for dog food and the like! 😔 Poor babies are so loving and bring so much joy.

This is the stunning Antoinette, she was in a real state when we brought her home. Here is a picture of her two months later.

Hey folks, I hope everyone is staying safe and well. Just a little ask from us here. If you are planning on homing chooks this year, please consider rehoming commercial hens, they really need you. freshstartforhens.co.uk/2026/01/01/2... #ChickensOfBluesky #Hens #Chickens #Chickensky #Rescue #Vegan

They can be really loud, calling and flapping if they see a preditor (local cat). We have about 18 at last count (seen at once), they are pretty tame, a couple have eaten from our hand and they follow us around on a morning waiting for their breakfast. 😂

Had a thought, if you sign up to a local group mailing list I can let the organisers know they can find your information there. Would that be OK? yourpartyteesvalley.org.uk
