The magnolia is finally opening - spring is here! Currently finishing a song cycle featuring five texts by female writers all about the changing seasons, supported by the Vaughan Williams Foundation. Today I'm redrafting a wintery piece, which seems odd considering today's sun..!

It's that time of the year again! This year's mystery musical instrument present was a pair of Tibetan singing bowls. I've got a few ideas about how I'll get these into a piece..

Pitch pipe has been dusted off for the annual village sing song, just in case its services are required. Good luck to all those other mad musicians with outdoor singing duties over the next week or so (plus the inevitable concerts and carol services!).
