This was not in my plans for today, but 2025 gives no fucks about my plans 😓 On the bright side, being a ceramic artist means I conveniently have many buckets and bins available for catching drips 🫠

We could all use a little extra luck and encouragement to persevere these days. I packed six lucky symbols into this functional sculpture - can you find them all? Get lucky and snag this piece at In Praise of Small Things opening next Friday, February 28th at Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana 🍀🤞

Ceramic vase comprised of a stack of Japanese-inspired lucky symbols sitting on a wood table against a slate blue wall. At the bottom of the stack is a red Daruma with a fiercely cute face and a yellow Koi (carp) on his side. On top of the Daruma is a Tanuki (Raccoon Dog) with a white belly and brown mask and ears with bamboo motifs on his sides. On top of the Tanuki is a Maneki Neko (Lucky Cat) with right paw raised, a red collar and yellow bell, and wide yellow eyes. At the top of the stack is a Fukuro (Owl) with bright, folk-art inspired eyes, a brown beak, and scallop design feathers.

I’ve got a handful of preorder items available on my website, including these cute little “buddy” vases with choose your own adventure hair/color/expression combos. www.jenniferfujimoto.com/collections/...

Three ceramic vases that look like little heads with buns. From left to right, white hair with fringe bangs and a coy expression holding some pencils, black hair with straight bangs and a peaceful expression holding flowers, and bronze hair with a no-band swoosh and a side-eye expression holding paint brushes.

It’s ok if you just want to hide from the horrors for a bit. Kiku feels you 💛

A joyous little palate cleanse for the timeline. Sister, friends, partners, lovers,... there is no wrong answer. Love is love whatever flavor you choose 💕 #Ceramics #KokeshiInspired #Pottery #GraphicClay #LoveIsLove #KawaiiArt #JenniferFujimoto

Two ceramic vases inspired by Japanese kokeshi dolls. The one on the left is shorter and rounder with a cheerful expression and curly hair. The body has a Shippo (Seven Treasures) pattern of overlapping circles in a red-orange color on a dark brown background with graphic plum blossoms in the center. The one on the right has black hair that swoops over the brow and a peaceful expression. The body has the same Shippo pattern in brown with pink and yellow graphic plum blossoms in the center. They sit on a wood tabletop with a slate blue background.

I’m calling this piece “You win some, you lose some”. Some sloppy waxing and a laissez-faire attitude while glazing means this lil jar doesn’t jar. And I chipped her when attempting to coax her to open. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #ceramics #ceramicsfail #kawaii #pottersofbluesky #jenniferfujimoto

White stoneware jar painted to look like a kawaii woodland sprite. Blue hair with choppy bangs and blue heart lips. Brightly colored flowers scattered on her head. Straight-on view.

Neko ni Tako (Cat and Octopus) is a somewhat mysterious character. Other than being a symbol of good luck, happiness and fortune, I have found little detail searching. Regardless, I’m obsessed. Know more? Do tell! 🐙🐱❤️ #Ceramics #JapaneseFolkArt #NekoNiTako #LuckyCat #ManekiNeko #JenniferFujimoto

Ceramic speckled buff stoneware folk art figure of a cat with a bright red octopus with big eyes on it’s head.

Sunday morning bedscape. And yes, that is yet another dog bed on the floor. Don’t judge.

Yellow dog lying with her hind end in her donut bed but stretched out superwoman style across the whole rest of the colorfully patterned comforter on the human bed.

I feel like they need a more distinctive D for this message. But maybe it’s just my poor eyesight…

Sign in the window of a skincare studio that reads “Have you been reading about PDRN I have it here! & other curated products… The D reads as an O from a distance making it look like the word PORN.

Loading the kiln today with some fun and a little bit weird work! I'm so nervous and excited to see the final results 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼In the meantime, posting more oldies but goodies. #wallflowers #mix-and-match #ceramics #ceramicart #ceramicwallart #pottersofbluesky #jenniferfujimoto

Five colorful ceramic wall pieces shaped like flowers on a blue-grey wall with some plants in the bottom right corner. Three of the flowers have cute faces painted in the center with cheerful, peaceful, and side-eye expressions.

Back to the studio and teaching today meant less time for the sosh meeds which is not a bad thing 😆 But here is a little work in progress to feed the beast.

I don't make mugs very often. I find they're generally just not the best use of my time and I get busy making other things 🤷🏻‍♀️ I like these mugs I made last year tho!

Two mugs on a wooden surface with a slate blue wall and plants in ceramic pots in the background. The mug on the left is taller and rounded with an orange, pink and yellow repeating cloud pattern. The mug on the left has straight walls that lean in from the bottom and a larger handle with a dark teal, turquoise and mint repeating cloud pattern. #ceramics #jenniferfujimoto

I think that might be some sort of weird default algorithm thing cause I got it too 😂 Love cats but love the doggos too. Picture of my Kiku for pet tax.

#pottersofbluesky - What do you do when the thing you are (currently obsessed with) making isn’t what people want (to buy) from you? When you’ve created a style or product line that you’re feeling a bit too niched into? 🤔 #pottery #陶器 #clay #ceramics #ceramicart #handmadepottery #artistsofbluesky
