“I think it’s the same story. It’s corporations coming and looking for resources and looking for small towns. And hoping they can get away with it without people pushing back.”

On September 28, in Madison, Wisconsin, we’ll march for solar power, clean energy jobs, science, environmental justice, conservation & democracy. We have the technology and solutions. Now we need the political will to make clean energy accessible to all! Join us: tinyurl.com/SignUpWIClimateMarch
Graphic promoting Wisconsin's Climate March. message: We’re coming together for a march on September 28th to send a message: Climate Can't Wait! We need a clear demonstration of public support for solar, renewable power, and rigorous science; opposition to the fossil fuels that are killing our planet; and an end to the era of being ruled by fascists, oligarchs, and fossil fuel billionaires.

It’s time to tell Wisconsin’s decision-makers: we demand that they protect the environment, our scientific institutions, and our democracy!

"I've long felt that the most important thing you can do for election security is to have a paper copy of a ballot. We do audits after the fact, we do testing of machines beforehand, tabulators in Wisconsin are not connected to the internet—so it seems to me that it's very secure." Don Millis, WEC

In Oct 2024, the Biden Administration implemented a new EPA rule requiring local governments to replace all lead service lines by 2037, providing $43 million to Wisconsin for the project. Trump’s budget bill cut the program. Wisconsin's children deserve better.

Reimbursement for special ed costs in public schools is just 42–45%—half of what private voucher schools receive. This means WI will shoulder even more of the burden at a time when special ed is already drastically underfunded. Add this into the mix, and special ed students are being left behind.

The MAGA budget bill makes higher education more expensive & less accessible by overhauling the student loan system—specifically when it comes to eligibility & repayment options. 📲 Tell your representative you support accessible higher education at 202-224-3121. #StudentLoanDebt
A green background, with clipart of a graduation cap above a gold coin at the top, and text below that reads “More than 700,000 Wisconsinites have student loan debt. EVERYTHING'S COMING UP LAVENDER 💜🚜🌾 Lavender season is in full swing across Wisconsin, and the fields are as beautiful as they are fragrant. Washington Island gets a lot of well-deserved attention, but lavender farms are blooming all over the state right now.

SNAP-Ed, a federal nutrition education program, was creating 'magic' in Wisconsin: introducing kids to new fruits and veggies, helping families save on groceries, and encouraging more physical activity in residents old and young. But that program has now been cut by Trump. More here from me:

When Kids Lead the Garden, Magic Happens 🌻🌿🍅🪏☀️ For over 12 years, We Got This Milwaukee has welcomed over 100 neighborhood kids every weekend to their garden ready to dig in and make a difference. Saturday mornings transform into a powerful blend of gardening, learning, and community action.

DAIRY MONTH ROAD TRIP 🐮 🌻 🌾 🐐 🧀 I hit the road earlier this week on a mini tour through southern Wisconsin to celebrate June Dairy Month, spotlighting rural voices and the vital role that small-town life plays in the state’s dairy economy along the way.
Map showing a road trip route in southern Wisconsin, starting and ending in Madison. Stops along the route include Dreamfarm LLC, Vitruvian Farms LLC, Hooks Cheese Co, Roelli Cheese Haus, Decatur Dairy, and Cheesers. The route forms a loop through rural areas west and south of Madison, highlighting locations known for cheese and dairy production. Major cities like Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha are visible to the east.Graphic with bold text on a dark blue background that reads “Celebrate June Dairy Month.” The word “CELEBRATE” is in light blue, “JUNE” is in bright blue, “DAIRY” is in cream, and “MONTH” is in white. The design uses large, blocky fonts and contrasting colors to emphasize the message.
