I’ve finally gotten around to reading Pachinko and it’s as good as advertised. Today I needed to work out (cardio day) but wanted to read so opted for the bike and the thing that I thought was gonna happen happened and there I was yelling at a book while sweating on the bike.

My girl is one of those trombones. During the third quarter they split off mini band to play in different parts of the stadium. Since she’s a freshman this was her first time getting to do it. Big day!

So that was incredible. If you get the chance to see Johnny Blue Skies (Sturgill Simpson) do it. Get pit tickets, take your substance of choice (or not) and get ready to dance your ass off. His voice and the band are so good. My goodness that was fun. 3 hours btw. I’m so tired.

My son’s PE class on Tues is jumping into the pool fully clothed and learning how to make floatation devices out of their clothes. (Just got an email reminder to bring extra clothes). The perks of Illinois being the only state to require PE all 4 years of high school.
