***Upgrade Acquired*** We've never wielded this kind of power before... nor spent this kind of money on a CPU. It's not the Ryzen 7 5800x3D, but it's close enough. It should also future proof a lil better since it has more cores as well as an unlocked multiplier for future overclocking!

Wal-Mart marketplace 5-cheese pizza but with pork chorizo, diced onions & garlic sautéed in the grease of the chorizo, sliced jalapeños, drizzled with Kinder's Bourbon Peach BBQ sauce, and topped with extra colby jack cheese... this is going to be quite messy, but hopefully delicious!

New bed! New bed! 😻 ...Now to figure out what to do with the old (king size) one since we missed the spring cleanup last month... The new one is Full sized, which is great because that makes it lighter & take up less floor space. It's also a hybrid mattress, so this will be interesting!

So we got the HDD's hooked up normally again & ended up using one of our 120mm case fans for the CPU fan since it was 4-pin PWM & profiled for high static pressure (which is important for efficientlu blowing air through heatsinks/radiators!) It's so quiet now, mrrf~ 💜 Full specs in 1st pic alt text.

The case is a In Win Mana 136. It has 6-120mm fans plus 1 more for the CPU fan. The two front fans, side fan, and the rear fan are powered with a Kingwin 4-channel analog controller. The power supply is a modular Corsair AX860 (860 Watts).

The mainboard is a MSI Z77A-GD65 with an Intel Core i7-3770k CPU (stock 3.5GHz, but running at 3.9GHz for some reason...) & 32GB of 1866MHz Patriot Viper DDR3. The GPU is a MSI Geforce RTX 1080 with 8GB GDDR5X.

For internal storage there is a OCZ/AMD Radeon R7 SSD with 480GB, an SK-Hynix m.2 NVMe with 1TB, a 2TB Western Digital Black SATA HDD, and 2 HGST SATA HDD's with 3TB & 4TB of capacity. For optical storage there is a LG DVD & BluRay burner.

It has a PCIe x1 wifi adapter card with an Intel dual band wireless-AC 7260, followed by a PCIe x4 to m.2 adapter card by Silverstone which houses the SK-Hynix SSD, then a PCIe x1 dual gigabit NIC with the Intel 82576 chipset, and lastly there is a PCIe x4 Asus multi adapter that has 2 external USB 3.0 ports & 2 internal SATA3 ports (unused). There is also a 2-port USB 2.0 external header on the backplane.

Also visible on top are the two wifi antennas with magnetic bases, as well as the wireless dongle for our Logitech G435 headset.

The boot SSD is a SATA OCZ/AMD Radeon R7 with 480GB and the other one is a NVMe m.2 (in a PCIe adapter card) SK-Hynix 1TB drive that's used for speed dependent and/or frequently played games.

I'm not exaggerating when I say a lot of this stuff is 10+ years old. I would say things about them, but I don't want to jinx it. :P The 2TB drive is non-speed critial apps/whatever, the 4TB one is our Steam library drive, & the 3TB one is also for whatever. We also have 2 SSD's not pictured.

Finally retiring this lil guy~ We bought it back in 2014 & even still have the reciept for it from Fry's. It still works, save for the 5GHz band constantly dropping out of existence. May still use it for 2.4GHz band stuff in the future, but for now, it's no longer the primary Wi-Fi access point. ⬇️

Tonights dindin is rotini pasta with (store bought) tomato, basil, & garlic pasta sauce. Added is 1 fresh diced onion, 1 jalapeño, 5 or 6 cloves of garlic (some were tiny), & 10 chopped up maple sausage links. Also having some (store bought) 5 cheese texas toast with it. ^.^

Tonight's dindin is canned beef stew, watered down, with rice. Then some raw diced onions & garlic added in for a lil extra flavor & texture~ We made a bunch of extra rice for the leftover stew tomorrow as well as for a few of the frozen containers of red beans & rice we pulled to thaw.

Cooking the beans! And the smoked ham... the cajun andouille sausage, & then the veggies. Which consist of a green & a yellow pepper, like 8 or 9 celery stems, and 6 cloves of garlic. Cut out & cooked 1/4 of a 16" Walmart marketplace ultimate meat pizza. Added fresh chopped onion, garlic, & colby jack cheese~ 🥰 Also, parchment paper is amazing for cooking stuff like this right on the oven rack. Food doesn't stick to it like foil, the crust cooks better, & it's biodegradable!

We had some filling left over from last night so we chopped up a lil more onion & garlic, sautéed them, then scrambled some eggs in. We then mixed in the leftover filling, a lil frozen tomato paste, let it cook, & now we have a tasty, filling, breakfast that should hold us until dinner~

We also made a few changes to the tender! Namely modifying the shape of the top-rear where the water fill hatches are located & put the red class lights on brackets so they're less likely to be in the way. Lastly, we recessed the handbrake wheel & added 1 on the other side as a faux water shutoff.

Made the changes with our Berk! The running boards on each side of the boiler are now a full block wide instead of 1/2 block. Enlarged the main cylinders & reworked the exhaust tubes. Shortened the front end. Made the firebox bigger & added storage in the cab so the engine can actually use coal.

We maaaade breeeead! 😁 Honestly, it's kinda bland & didn't rise as much as we'd hoped, but the house is cold (which slows the yeast fermentation) & we didn't season it because we mostly just wanted bread to make sandwiches with before the deli meat goes bad. So not too bad for our first few loaves!

Shows one and a half loaves of home baked white bread wrapped in saran wrap on the kitchen counter. They were made with bread flour, yeast, & a lil salt, sugar, & canola oil.
