This is who he's always been. Make sure everyone knows because Gov Haircut's bad enough, we don't need a Prez Haircut. He also gleefully destroys the belongings of noiseless people.
Kimberly Guilfoyle and then-husband, Gavin Newsom, sprawl on Ann Getty's rug in an opulent, almost Trumpian, room in a SF mansion. She's gone full duckface, and he looks like a dime store 80s James Spader. Their hands are clasped.

With Outlook (still) down, here's how your email is (not) finding me
Photo of Tim Curry with head/neck in Darkness makeup from Legend. The massive horns have been removed (looks like they screwed in bc designers are thorough about metaphor I'll pretend), he's wearing a fluffy bathrobe and (pretending?) to drink directly from a wine bottle with a "oh yeah?" Look on his face😈

Very cool to see Nettrice Gaskin's work in person after years of following her on Twitter. Always love to see Alice Coltrane featured. Afrofuturism exhibit at SFO
Nettrice Gaskin's portrait of Alice Coltrane. Gaskin's style echos Coltrane's dreamy but impassioned psychedelia. Underneath are Records of Black women musicians including La Belle and Janelle Monae.

This killed me
S- or NES-style graphics. Trump stands in front of a chopper in a field. A gold statue of him and Epstein doing the Titanic flying pose is in the foreground. A dialogue box covers the lower third, old RPG-style. Lil'Marco is so lil' that we only see his head from the nose up. He says, Wait, before you go. Stealing oil may be a war crime.

When you're prepping tomorrow's breakfast taco and do a simple trinity knot without thinking Maybe it's time to revisit my teenage Celtic knotwork stim?
Corn tortilla on a bamboo cutting board. Hot sauce has been drizzled in such a way that it is a surprisingly decent simple trinity knot; parts overlapping, not overlapping is not properly, oddly proportionally. If AI had done it, it deserves derision. If a child had done it, praise and encouragement.

It's very Leyendecker! i.pinimg.com/originals/64...
Painted illustration by JC Leyendecker from Saturday Evening Post. Medieval Merry Christmas. A beautiful young woman with a halo wearing opulent robes and wimple carries a gilt casket and olive branches. A young page precedes her carrying a lit lantern and a bundle of something. There is a beautiful sense of light and shadow.

Rep, 1. You really need to include alt text to reach all of your constituents. I'd be happy to teach your staffers. It's super easy. 2. What are we doing in South City to protect our BIPOC neighbors from ICE kidnapping & trafficking?
CONGRESSMAN KEVIN MULLIN
Serving California's 15th Congressional District
REP. MULLIN SUPPORTS CALIFORNIA'S DEFENSE AGAINST TEXAS' GERRYMANDERING
"Trump ordered Texas to essentially prevent Republican lawmakers from being voted out of office by gerrymandering district maps heavily in their favor. Republicans have stripped away health care and food assistance from millions of Americans so they could give billionaires tax breaks - it's shameful and they know their harmful policies are wildly unpopular going into the 2026 election.
As such, California's leadership has been forced into a mid-decade redistricting process and I stand with Governor Newsom in the fight to protect our democracy against Trump's authoritarian presidency.
Democrats are committed to giving voters the opportunity to counter this move in Texas and restore some balance of power in Washington.
While we must respond to Trump's Texas power grab, I also strongly support affirming and maintaining the California Citizens Redistricting Commission's decennial process, which will take place as scheduled following the 2030 Census.
I'm proud of California's leadership on the issue and believe the nonpartisan Commission to be a national model of how redistricting can be done in a fair way. Republicans have opposed Democratic efforts to bring citizen-led redistricting reforms to the national level, and this will continue to be a priority of mine as Co-chair of the Task Force on Strengthening Democracy."

What would a progressive narrative look like? First, it would not be motivated by fear and hatred of women. Second, it would consider masculinity healthy and valuable rather than being ashamed of it. Third, it would be comfortable talking about the fact that men want to get laid and offer advice for how they might do that if it's something they're struggling with. And finally, it would provide a true assessment of romance and attraction - one in which they were not societally zero-sum, but win-win.
That assessment would be grounded in the following truth: That the things which men can do to make themselves more attractive are things which actually improve society.

"Some people weren't released afterward. Gay men, trans-sexuals. The Germans handed Bartok over to us after Auschwitz was liberated. He starved to death in Allied custody." Ellen thought of the skeletal figure daubing words in blood on warped and splintered boards in her dream the night before.
She thought of his sunken cheeks, his deep-set eyes alive with maddened fervor. What would it do to someone, to survive the Holocaust only to realize that the other side wasn't going to save you? To understand that you were as subhuman under the stars and stripes, or the hammer and sickle, as you had been under the swastika? That everyone else was going to the biggest celebration in the history of the world while you died of hunger because people found you uncomfortable to think about?

After the war, homosexuals were initially not counted as victims of Nazism because homosexuality continued to be illegal in Nazi Germany's successor states. Few victims came forward to discuss their experiences. The persecution came to wider public attention during the gay liberation movement of the 1970s, and the pink triangle was reappropriated as an LGBT symbol.

The North (Peninsula) remembers. Newsom's always been a self-interested opportunist chasing big money over serving constituents.
Famous photo from Harper's Bazaar spread of Gavin Newsom and then-wife Kimberly Guilfoyle sprawled on an expensive-looking carpet (Ann Getty's) in a room reeking of old money and a very expensive view of San Francisco Bay. They are trying to look slinky together and she has some serious duckface happening. It's a very high school pose. They look ridiculous.

Alt text of this hero's excellent strategy. Tell your friends who work with kids & other in loco parentis professiona
Interview screen shot: Wilder: I go over quickly and the agents are asking the kids inappropriate things like where they are from, their country of origin, so I say,
'whoa, whoa, and I tell the officers that their questions are inappropriate, and that I'm going to tell my kids not to answer them.
WSR: How did the officers respond to that?
Wilder: The officers started talking to me about obstruction of justice, and I repeated that the kids don't have to speak to them, and as the person in charge of them right now, I'm going to tell them not to speak to you. Then they started to talk about cuffing me, and that if the kids were here legally, what do they have to lose by answering. I told them that they still have their fifth and fourth amendment rights, and that they don't have to speak to you or help with any investigation.

U.S. Department of Justice Civil Division
Office of the Assistant Attorney General
Washington, DC 20044
June 11, 2025
MEMORANDUM
TO:
All Civil Division Employees
FROM:
Brett A. Shumate
Assistant Attorney General
BRETT
SHUMATE
Digitally signed by BRETT SHUMATE
Date: 2025.06.11 12:27:50 -04'00'
SUBJECT: Civil Division Enforcement Priorities
President Trump and Attorney General Bondi have directed the Civil Division to use its enforcement authorities to advance the Administration's policy objectives. This memorandum describes those policy objectives and directs Civil Division attorneys to prioritize investigations and enforcement actions advancing these priorities.
1. Combatting Discriminatory Practices and Policies
On January 21, 2025, President Trump issued Executive Order 14,173, Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity, 90 Fed. Reg. 8633 (Jan. 21, 2025), which established "the policy of the United States to protect the civil rights of all Americans and to promote individual initiative, excellence, and hard work." Id. § 2. To this end, the President
"order[ed] all agencies to enforce our longstanding civil-rights laws and to combat illegal private-sector DEI preferences, mandates, policies, programs, and activities." Id. As part of these efforts, Attorney General Bondi has directed that the Department align its "litigating positions with [the] requirement of equal dignity and respect." Memorandum from Attorney General, Eliminating Internal Discriminatory Practices, at 2 (Feb. 5, 2025).
Consistent with these directives, the Civil Division will use all available resources to pursue affirmative litigation combatting unlawful discriminatory practices in the private sector. In particular, the Civil Division is authorized to bring suit under the False Claims Act for treble damages and penalties against any person who knowingly submits or causes the submission of false claims to the government. 31 U.S.C. § 3729 et seq. 1/22/2

This includes entities that receive federal funds but knowingly violate civil rights laws. In support of these efforts, the Deputy Attorney General recently announced the Civil Rights Fraud Initiative. The Civil Division is committed to advancing the Initiative and will aggressively investigate and, as appropriate, pursue False Claims Act violations against recipients of federal funds that knowingly violate civil rights laws. The Civil Division will work with the Civil Rights Division, relators, other whistleblowers, and federal agencies to advance these efforts.1/2 The Civil Division shall prioritize and maximally pursue denaturalization proceedings in all cases permitted by law and supported by the evidence. To promote the pursuit of all viable denaturalization cases available under 8 U.S.C. $ 1451 and maintain the integrity of the naturalization system while simultaneously ensuring an appropriate allocation of resources, the Civil Division has established the following categories of priorities for denaturalization cases:
1. Cases against individuals who pose a potential danger to national security, including those with a nexus to terrorism, espionage, or the unlawful export from the United States of sensitive goods, technology, or information raising national security concerns;
2. Cases against individuals who engaged in torture, war crimes, or other human rights violations;
3. Cases against individuals who further or furthered the unlawful enterprise of criminal gangs, transnational criminal organizations, and drug cartels;
4. Cases against individuals who committed felonies that were not disclosed during the naturalization process,
5. Cases against individuals who committed human trafficking, sex offenses, or violent crimes;
6. Cases against individuals who engaged in various forms of financial fraud against the United States (including Paycheck Protection Program ("PPP") loan fraud and Medicaid/Medicare fraud);
7. Cases against individuals who engaged in fraud against private individuals, funds, or corporations;
8. Cases against individuals who acquired naturalization through government corruption, fraud, or material misrepresentations, not otherwise addressed by another priority category;
9. Cases referred by a United States Attorney's Office or in connection with pending criminal charges, if those charges do not fit within one of the other priorities; and
2/2: 10. Any other cases referred to the Civil Division that the Division determines to be sufficiently important to pursue.
These categories are intended to guide the Civil Division in prioritizing which cases to pursue; however, these categories do not limit the Civil Division from pursuing any particular case, nor are they listed in a particular order of importance. Further, the Civil Division retains the discretion to pursue cases outside of these categories as it determines appropriate. The assignment of denaturalization cases may be made across sections or units based on experience, subject-matter expertise, and the overall needs of the Civil Division.
