Gotta settle for a tie here. Bluesky will only let me post 4 pictures at a time, so

Day 302 (last one for now!) is Super Mario RPG by Yoko Shimomura! Not the flashiest album art in the world, but this one's extra special to me because Shimomura's music really captivated me as a little kid with Superstar Saga and I've been hoping to get any music of hers that I could since!!!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 18/09/2025

Day 301 is Fight Songs: The Music of TF2 by Mike Morasky! As someone who's been playing TF2 since before Minecraft even existed, this album is basically pure nostalgia all the way through. It makes my heart ache for the days of source filmmaker shorts and silly updates. Easy ten out of ten.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 17/09/2025

Day 300 is In Stars and Time by @thumpypuppy.bsky.social! It's a great and memorable soundtrack with lots of impactful moments that really stir up the narrative of the game in exciting ways; I'm positive many of these songs will stick with me for the rest of my life.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 16/09/2025

Day 299 is the iam8bit, 4x10" LP version of Steven Universe: The Movie! By lots and lots of folks but mostly @aivisura.bsky.social! What's extra lovely about this flavor of the soundtrack is that it includes ALL the movie's music, including all interstitial and background bits. It's so nostalgic!

Steven Universe: The Movie on vinyl again

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 15/09/2025

Day 298 is Anyway by @anamanaguchi.bsky.social! It's a cool album that has a fresh new sound but remains undeniably recognizable and distinct as Anamanaguchi! Great stuff!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 14/09/2025

Day 297 is LISA by (as far as I can tell?) Austin Jorgensen! Every side of both discs has a loop groove with a very particular grunt-y yell that plays forever. Thank you for the vinyl, Serenity Forge!!!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 13/09/2025

Day 296 is Mezzanine by Massive Attack! Obviously Teardrops is the song from this one that I've heard the most times but the whole album is quite good! I like it a lot!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 12/09/2025

Here's an idea! Day 295 is Points of Origin by @willstratton.bsky.social at the recommendation of Mike Rugnetta. It's not the usual kind of stuff I would ordinarily seek out for myself, and I love it for that! It's a gorgeous album, and I'm so happy to have crossed paths with it.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 11/09/2025

Day 294 is The Messenger by @ericwbrown.bsky.social and I am ceaselessly impressed by the doubled-up soundtrack and how the music fits the two styles perfectly. This one's one of my favorites for sure and I can't wait for what comes next!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 10/09/2025

Day 293 is Worlds Live at Second Sky 2019 by Porter Robinson! I am liking live performances more and more recently and this one's got Shelter on it so it was a no brainer.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 09/09/2025

Day 292 is, get this, SUPER MARIO WORLD by Koji Kondo???? I seriously never thought I would see the day that actual legitimate first-party mario music would hit wax but believe me I'm not complaining - this album is a BOP. It's soundtracks to a BUNCH of early marios, and there's jazzy orchestra too!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 08/09/2025

Day 291 is the season one soundtrack for Arcane by Alexander Temple! I finally just finished season 2 and it's wild that both seasons have perfect soundtracks!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 07/09/2025

Day 290 is "The Deluxe Omni-Album" by TISM, which is a disc of pure silence, that I bought to make a recording of and use as sound effect fodder for game development. This was cheaper than buying sound effects elsewhere or buying any other "silent" vinyl I could find, lmao

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 06/09/2025

Day 289 is Plastic Death by Glass Beach! I like this one a lot, but I think I like the first album just a little more. It's very close though. Either way, I'm really looking forward to what comes next!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 05/09/2025

Day 288 is Sounds of Tokyo-To Future by @2mello.net which, I kid you not, I have been hoping to get my hands on a physical release of for YEARS. It's fun and serious and playful and just, an absolute joy to listen to from start to finish. Magnificent music.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 04/09/2025

Day 287 is Nimona by Christophe Beck! This movie is really cute and really good and really important to me so I had no choice but to pick up it's perfect soundtrack oh nooooooo

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 03/09/2025

Day 286 is MASSIVE by @danimalcannon.com! It has a really cool textual progression from start to finish that I really enjoy. I can't wait for the next vinyl release, haha

Day 285 is Music to Refine To by ODESZA! I really love the score in Severance so it's a lot of fun to hear those familiar songs revisited in this sillier way. It's a great listen!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 01/09/2025

Day 284 is Neva by @berlinist.bsky.social. This is one of those games that I can tell by looking at it is going to do untold damage to my free time and worldview but I would be remiss if I didn't pick up the perfect soundtrack accompaniment. It's so beautiful.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 31/08/2025

Day 283 is 140 by Jakob Schmid! I am 100% positive I meant to post this on the 140th day and it totally slipped my mind. It's a really great dance musicky soundtrack though! Very high energy electronic stuff for a rhythm game! Very worth checking out, I think!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 30/08/2025

Day 282 is Slime Rancher by Harry Mack! I've loved his stuff since way back when I played Spiral Knights for the first time so I was incredibly happy to discover he did this soundtrack as well!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 29/08/2025

Day 281 is Florence by Kevin Penkin! It's a lovely, emotional little journey that matches the story of the game beat for beat! Excellent stuff!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 28/08/2025

Day 280 is Tales of Symphonia by Motoi Sakuraba!!! This one's been a favorite of mine for a really long time, and I feel like it gave me a good idea of what Sakuraba's style is like. I really love the whole soundtrack!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 27/08/2025

Day 279 is Tales of Arise by Motoi Sakuraba!!! This one was basically an insta-buy for me because it goes so nicely with my Tales of Symphonia! Sakuraba is one of my all-time favorites.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 26/08/2025

Day 278 is of course, Book 3 by YOASOBI! The three of these albums feel like magic and I'm immensely lucky to have gotten my hands on them!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 25/08/2025

Day 277 is Book 2 by YOASOBI!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 24/08/2025

Day 276 is The Book by YOASOBI! There are three of them (so far?) and they get a little jumbled in my head, but believe me when I say every single song from this group is amazing. They have such consistent high quality that their work becomes hard to place chronologically.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 23/08/2025

Day 275 is Bomb Rush Cyberfunk by seriously too many people to name, I tried. All I can say is that it's immaculate, near the top of my list.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 22/08/2025

Day 274 is Inscryption by Jonah Senzel! I'd be remiss if I didn't thank @lacedrecords.com for explicitly giving me notice that this existed, or I surely would have missed it. Inscryption was my highlight of 2021 and Senzel's score was well over half the reason for that. It's perfect.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 21/08/2025

Day 273 is Music From The Legend of Zelda by London Music Works! I'm a huge sucker for orchestral performances and basically anything Koji Kondo, so you can imagine how much I love listening to this album.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 20/08/2025

Day 272 is Baba is You by @hempuli.bsky.social! It's all delightful vibes and perfect thinky puzzle music, I love it so much.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 19/08/2025

Day 271 is OXENFREE II: Lost Signals by @scntfc.bsky.social! Easiest by on the planet, just as excellent music as the first game's was, and perfectly atmospheric.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 18/08/2025

Day 270 is All we Know is Falling by Paramore! I was so happy to find this floating around not only because it's all bangers but it finishes my collection of Paramore albums and completing a list feels good to my broken brain.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 17/08/2025

Day 269 is Songs of Supergiant Games by @darrenkorb.bsky.social and I'll treasure it forever because it's my only way to spin any Pyre, my beloved, on my turntable! Of course, it doesn't hurt that it's all excellent either.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 16/08/2025

Day 268 is Star Stories by @ajdispirito.bsky.social, which is a beautiful little collection of covers and nods to Super Mario Galaxy's beautiful, serene score.

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 15/08/2025

Day 267 is Singularity by @lena.fyi! I think debut works are always so special because you can trace their talent and ambition from their biggest, newest art all the way back to the starting point and get a glimpse into what the important part is to them. This EP is beautiful and excellent!!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 14/08/2025

Day 266 is Contra: Hard Corps by Hiroshi Kobayashi! I'll be totally honest, I only even found out this existed at all because I was looking for the song Something Wonderful, which I had heard in Vampire Survivors while a friend was playing it. Incredible music appears where you least expect it!

Cape and Bow @jemmyspo.nz · 13/08/2025

Day 265 is Chicory: The Sounds of Picnic Province by @lena.fyi! It's gotten to the point where I didn't need to know anything else about Chicory (though I do love it and everything else by Wishes Ultd), Lena Raine makes beautiful, cozy works of art I will always love getting immersed in. A+ album.
