Getting Embodiment of Scarlet Devil officially released in English on Switch in 2026 is wild. I didn’t like the smooth HD look of the new version at first but it’s growing on me. More importantly, I hope people buy it so we can get Perfect Cherry Blossom.

This might be a little harsh but I had to do it...

Didn't have time to write for Chainsmoker Cat but @jelx.bsky.social's writeup captures my feelings on it. It's upsettingly crass, but there's a bold frankness to the way it portrays addiction. We've seen a few mentally ill anime girls the last few years but none quite this realistically pitiable.

In this episode we mention Dorohedoro is one of the rare anime that is so good it made me read the manga (I do not read manga). This is the full list: - Binbougami ga - Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun - Hinamatsuri - Dorohedoro - Call of the Night season 2 See if you notice any patterns

Reading about Crimson Desert being the latest game to get caught leaving in “early-stage” AI generated assets and I’m just remembering this screenshot I took from Anthem. AI is so bad it has me fondly remembering ANTHEM, do you know how bad that is?

Screenshot from ill fated video game Anthem where they left in a temporary asset that literally says “TEMPORARY STANDIN ASSET” and yet it’s still better than using AI

I swear I've read about Gainax being officially dead at least once annually for the last 10 years, but in case this is truly finally it, I think back to the obituary I wrote for them in 2024. Truly, there was no studio like Gainax, and there never will be again. gee-blog.vercel.app/RIP-Gainax/

Dungeon Encounters comic I made a few years ago. Did you know I really like Dungeon Encounters? #moonart

Dungeon Encounters comic page 1.
From the logs of Guyselblanc, head of the Academy: "It was deep in the bowels of the dungeon that we found it; an enormous beast whose very appearance gave us pause..."

McAllie: "Whoa, a cat! And it's huge! Can we keep him, Guyselblanc?"

Guyselblanc: "I suppose. What say you, cat?"

Sir Cat gives him a withering stare.

G: "...Sir Cat."

Sir Cat gives McAllie a high five, who shouts "yeah!!!!!"

McAllie opens a treasure chest, finding only a knife and fork. "What's this? A knife and fork? What gives?"

Sir Cat puts a paw on his shoulder. "Oh...do you want them?" says McAllie. "Go ahead."

Sir Cat's ears perk up. He is now equipped with the Cutlery Set. He proceeds to eat bats, anacondas, the leg off a chair, and possibly an entire gnome. From the logs of Guyselblanc: "He would eat all manner of creature, animate or inanimate. There seemed to be no end to his hunger..."

McAllie, the robot (forgot their name), Guyselblanc, and Sir Cat are fighting a Black Hole.

McAllie: "Wh-what is that?!"

Robot: "It appears to be a black hole, Master McAllie."

Guyselblanc: "Stand tall, friends! We shall not falter, nor shall we break! Chaos, heed my call! Malaflu--"

Sir Cat comes up from behind him and puts a paw on his shoulder, stopping him.

Sir Cat's opens his jaw wide enough to swallow the Black Hole... and he does.

McAllie: "That was AWESOME!!"

Guyselblanc: "That was, indeed, 'awesome.'"

Robot: "Data suggests Sir Cat is not an actual cat."

Putting aside the results of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, I think it’s weird how they seem to be doing them later and later in the year. You can’t do an annual award show later than maybe March, we’re almost halfway through 2025 now. No one cares about 2024.

Everyone’s pulling Hyacine for their Castorice team, meanwhile I see her built-in 100% Crit Rate and I’m thinking…

The “I’m a Healer, but…” meme but replacing the face with a badly photoshopped Hyacine from Honkai Star Rail

Thinking about the latest HSR story and getting this in writing just in case: what if the Flame Chase is actually creating heroes for a grail war and that’s how they tie in the Fate collab. It’s a big stretch but I can’t rule it out.

Quick thoughts on HSR 3.1 Story: - They should have split Mydei and Tribbie stories into separate questlines - Amphoreus still feels too much like Genshin for my taste - Is Mydei x Phainon now the top HSR ship? They really went all in with that
