i wonder if filters could be tweaked to adjust for some self-censoring? @benricem.bsky.social is this something that ivory could do? fuzzy match on blocklist words?

apple: get ready to launch on iphone duo also apple: *has been holding my macOS release hostage in review for a week*

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 22/09/2026

i don't know what apple have done to spaces in macOS 27, but it sure is broken. it's almost unusable.

200

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 21/09/2026

it can have. do you want it to?

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 20/09/2026

apple's app review needs a button that says "hey are you actually still reviewing this or have you wandered off to have a nap"

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 20/09/2026

oh boy, it gets WORSE

ok, well gifwrapped is a mess on iphone duo, but not _that_ much of a mess? just gotta prioritise some shit. doesn't need to be perfect for day one.

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 18/09/2026

gosh, it certainly would be nice if apple finally approved the macOS build of gifwrapped … I SAID IT WOULD BE NICE IF IT GOT APPROVED … _sigh_

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 16/09/2026

hey past-jelly, long time no see. can you please do me a favour? get laser hair removal while your facial hair is still dark, ok? i know you're thinking about it. electrolysis sucks almost as much as your code. kthxbye

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 10/09/2026

today i am giving a presentation/talk about comments… and also having my power cut to facilitate a meter upgrade. what's the bet that the timing of these two things perfectly coincides?

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 09/09/2026

hahahahaha three and a half thousand dollars 🤣 hahaahahahahaha good one john apple

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 08/09/2026

it's been a little while since our last run, but me and my good friend and former colleague, dan lawrence, have played a _lot_ of peak together, and it's been one of #myfavouritethings. jellystyle.com/2026/09/peak

while picking up my daughter from after school care, one of the young boys asked me "are you a clown?" which is certainly a question

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 04/09/2026

i just got some super cute new glasses. i was a bit nervous they wouldn't look good on me but HOT DAMN

a photo of jelly: a woman with glasses and purple hair that’s clearly grey at the roots. she is in front of a cupboard filled with various toys on the left, and a wall covered in art on the right.

kinda want to make a few more tweaks to better integrate these posts, and maybe even vibe up a little app to let me more easily post to it

000

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 01/09/2026

got inspired to add an art page to my website, replacing the old contact form (which only gets spam these days) and also my instagram feed (which i haven't posted to in quite some time). jellystyle.com/art

it's once again time to mosey on over and donate to st. jude, friends. this year's art is the most epic yet. a huge, huge thanks to my pals at @relay.fm who continue to let me contribute in this way… despite my incredibly bad time management skills.

This past week, my friends at Relay (Myke Hurley and Stephen Hackett) launched their annual fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As they have for the past few years, they…

today i was offhand referred to as "this lady" by a complete rando in public. WHAT A RUSH

040

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 19/08/2026

ok, fair warning for all the gifwrapped testflight folk: the next build is a DOOSY. no, i'm serious. it's a big deal.

020

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 14/08/2026

out it goes. i'll post about it tomorrow morning, but it's finally done. my reward is being allowed to install the 27 beta on my carry device. hooray?

000

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 13/08/2026

well, gosh. iOS got approved overnight. i guess i'm one of the lucky ones this week.

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 13/08/2026

i got my ears pierced this afternoon, and sure… it hurt a little, but that wasn't nearly as bad as the fact that i could hear the needle going through the flesh. 😖

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 13/08/2026

the macOS release is already approved. i look forward to the iOS release making it into review in like 2 weeks time, only to be rejected for something vague, and then approved a week later.

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 12/08/2026

oh thank god, my screenshots are finally done

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 03/08/2026

new screenshots for gifwrapped's upcoming release. do you like them as much as i hated making them? (i've been putting these off for at least a couple of weeks)

three screenshots of gifwrapped. the first reads, “For people who take GIFs seriously.” the second reads, “Can’t find it? Go get it.” and the third reads “One library, every device.”

three screenshots of gifwrapped. the first reads, “The perfect reply, mid-thread.” the second reads, “Go premium and go home.” and the third reads “Every frame in all its glory.”

little bonus fun fact: the squad in which i worked with this guy had a running theme of "how much wine is in matt's cellar" and IIRC, the number was last ~2500, so he knows his shit. 🍷

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 01/08/2026

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 14/07/2026

i think i just need to ship so i can move on and not think about liquid glass for a while.

000

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 14/07/2026

i think i might be done with the dev on gifwrapped's design refresh? maybe? i've been working on it for so long, i'm not actually sure TBH

100

Jelly @jellystyle.com · 26/06/2026

boy, those app store rejection messages really haven't gotten any less vague, have they?
