Maybe I should get into reading critical theory again to ward off all the normies by spouting paragraphs about the Barthesian concept of the punctum and how it can inform our interpretation of Eromanga-sensei doujins

Remembering the time I went into a random 1k viewer Genshin Impact streamer and derailed their stream for a good 40 minutes by writing "hey loving the stream, just wanted to ask, what's your favourite 9/11 plane?"

Never understood how people can see loli art out of the blue and think "ah, this has become more normal for me now", when said loli art is almost always drawn to be the most abnormal and abstract and outrageous thing. This whole pop psychology 'depiction is always normalization' angle needs to die.

Had to leave another trans community because of the downplaying and justification of misandry and transmisandry that was going on and being supported by its moderators. How hard is it to just not hate anyone on the basis of their sex or gender? Apparently it's impossible for a lot of trans people.

I should emphasize that I'm against prejudiced hate of all kinds. It all comes from the same awful source. That means I won't tolerate any hatred towards white people or men cis folk here. If you're going to fight the hate you've received you can't just repackage it and send it somewhere else.

did the mistake of checking the precure subreddit, and apparently this is pinned there post 💀💀💀

Screenshot of a post on the r/precure subreddit called "Yeah, No Shipping the Animals x Owners."
It has... 165 upvotes, which is pretty much more than everything else on the frontpage
I will save you the trouble of reading the actual post, because it's worded horrible and it's just straight up harassment, so I would advise actually staying away from this hell
Idk what people are thinking

People who believe this stuff will struggle when you ask them to explain *why* CSEM is bad. Generally the best answer they can come up with is that 'it's gross', and not the fact that it's the documentation of a child being raped. Because that would strongly differentiate it from a mere drawing.

Anyone who tries to make a monolith of 'the trans community' is going to use that concept as a blunt instrument in order to bully and manipulate you into doing what they want. Because you'll feel too afraid of being shunned by 'the trans community' to stand up for yourself.

Does this mean they don't want you sexualizing pregnant women, or the concept of getting women pregnant? The current Satanic Panic around fetishes really has no bounds.

If these people were actual pedophiles, wouldn't creating a list of all of them give them exactly what they want? Like yeah, let's put kids in even more danger by helping the pedos network with each other! Woohoo!

Use of an 'average person' metric (a la Miller Test) to determine what Japanese art to ban is woefully ethnocentric and misguided. It denies the fact that anime and manga have their own visual language and lineage, which is foreign to the 'average person', but vital to assessing it properly.

You have to remember that one of the main root causes of antis treating fictional characters as real people is that they've learned to treat every real person they know as a fictional character. It's all they can do. It's a mind-virus. A consequence of failed socialization.

The one thing that could make Bluesky a real competitor to Twitter/X is the recent mass exodus of JP artists from the latter to the former, and the one thing that will make them perform a rapid U-turn is a bunch of moronic moral crusaders on Bluesky's moderation team banning people for loli art.
