Video games are intended for entertainment and enjoyment. The whole point is to have fun. If a person can't play a video game to have fun or allow others to have fun, then that person should try something else, like washing cars.

Since SNES was when I hit my stride. I actually found SM wasn't that difficult, but now I'm a fossil, I have to wear reader's and the kids have destroyed my reflexes. I agree, it's the same game. My son can validate this as he has blown through every Sonic game I could throw at him.

Very cool! Had that exact same monitor (15") on a secondary pc. Mainly used it for pulling up Everquest maps while dungeon crawling. And I just aged myself.

I'm sure this is aging myself but my big bang was just being able to go the mall arcades in the late eighties/early ninties (here they were Aladdin's Castle) for a couple of hours and not have to deal with life crap. Consoles/PCs helped fill that void but hated to see them go.

Yes I'm reposting. I liked 7-9 almost as much as 4-6. I didn't really enjoy the jarjar saga but I'm not going to have on it. Rogue One/Andor remain the best SW material hands down. Clone wars/Bad Batch close second. Everyone else figure it out.

I don't pay extra money for the movie 2 years later so I can continue to watch it. I paid for a copy of a movie. My ability to continue watching it should not be dependent on whether or not the content provider allows me to watch it.

When someone pays extra money to purchase a movie/game, they have bought a copy of that digital content beyond what is gained from a monthly content license. If I purchase a movie from a digital provider, I can watch it whenever I want, even if the provider doesn't have it available for streaming.

If someone purchases a copy of digital media, one should be allowed to copy it to a storage medium of their choice and be allowed to play it whenever. Licensing software is a model for corporate business and streaming/gaming platforms for using said software/content on a monthly basis.

One would think the obvious move for MS is to do nothing now, monitor the fallout from all of this and adjust policies to ensure their customer base remains intact. And by adjust policies I mean keep making fracking discs and allowing ownership of individualized copies.

So this guy didn't understand so something else has to be dumb? I get it, Lucasfilm/Disney didn't make great decisions for some of the content that was pushed out but this was a decent show. While I don't think it should have been pushed into a movie I would hesitate before I call the genre dumb.

Unless their platform uses specific verbiage on their menus that the games are licensed and not owned then I think they're defeating their own argument. A game isn't a movie. People invest time creating/developing characters/worlds that they value and a license just isn't going to cut it.

Very cool! Is it meant to be portable? The handles on top have me curious. I had a portable rack with a couple of small 1U servers that I would ship to conferences but it was still the standard 19" so definitely very bulky.

Go to the store in the morning if you can, then complain to the store manager. Make sure there's 10+ other shoppers in earshot. Then get the district manager's name/email and rant away, cc the local news stations. Go back when it's really busy then politely ask the cashier how to file a complaint.

If you go the "having kids" route, watching them cruise by at the higher difficulties is equally rewarding. That said it's still fun playing Reach on legendary every once in a while and hitting that one sweet plasma throw. No more all-nighters/weekends though; I'm getting too old for that shit.
