Boulderdash would be great with the right levels, where both players have to coordinate together to complete. Lode Runner and Miner 2049er would be two platformers that would work cooperatively.

I used to have the same recurring dream! The exact class was vague, but always "forgot I was enrolled until the final" and showing up for the final. Terrifying. I earned a Masters in mathematics, so maybe it's a side-effect of graduate school?

I was a White House staffer. When having a lunch with anyone who worked at law firm, corp, embassy, *newspaper* I had to document that I'd paid exactly my share of the bill. ("No free lunch" policy.) At some formal event dinners, had to calculate fair-market cost of my serving, and reimburse it

Being an adult means not always eating what you want to eat, but eating what needs to be eaten.

After reading the book Forrest Gump, I can say that it is now the second book I've read where the movie was better. The Princess Bride is the other example.

I tried the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks this week and was underwhelmed. It wasn't bad, but it didn't taste like coffee at all. I'll stick to my regular lattes or my new fave, an oatmilk cortado.

I had no problems getting my Covid-19 vaccine today. I said I was eligible (even if RFK Jr doesn't think so) and it's still covered by insurance. Get yours while you still can!

If the right *truly* believed Charlie Kirk was a defender of free speech and someone who was fine with dissenting opinions, they wouldn't be engaged in a massive campaign to punish anyone who didn't "mourn him properly." They clearly know all of that is bullshit. Only the media was conned.

I'll agree to your point that I'm less socially normal than average. I don't know if that was the homeschooling or if I was always that way.

I'll be a counterexample as someone who was homeschooled for four years, but my reason was probably different than most others: the public schools in Fresno were terrible and couldn't teach me as fast as I was ready to learn. Then I started college at 14 and kept on going.

Watched "The Goonies" in the movie theater last night with my family and loved it! Even the kids thought it was a good movie (for an oldie). Definitely watching on the big screen was an improvement.

About 30 years ago, I would check for Atari carts at every thrift store I went to, and found them in maybe 1/3 of them. I don't remember if I ever found something I didn't already have at the time. Pretty amazing to find one today, even if it is a common cartridge.

Now I remember this game! You snake down trying to snatch the oil with the joystick and retract with the button before the baddies hit your pipe. It's probably been 40 years since I played this.

I can't listen to videos where every single pause in speech has been edited out. Maybe this is useful because it means the video is 3% faster but to me it's endlessly distracting. Am I just an old fogie for feeling this way?

When I first read this, I read "caviar" instead of "escargot", and thought "That's ridiculous". Then I read it again and noticed it said "escargot". That makes more sense.

So hard to choose. Of the ones I've owned before, the ST would be my favorite (1040 for me, but Mega would be better). The portable Mac is a rarity though.

After a recent trip to China, one takeaway is that bakeries are phenomenal. Pastries and breads were better than the ones I had in France. Cakes are less sweet, fluffier, and overall tastier. The Chinese have a greater mastery of baking than anyone gives them credit for.

I don't know why liberals are up in arms about the Supreme Court ruling that Presidents have total immunity for official acts. Biden is the current President. He could order an assassination of a political rival, for instance. Total immunity!

I'm kinda surprised I haven't heard more in the Skyverse about the Chicken Nugget TV Series on Netflix. www.imdb.com/title/tt2864... Worth a watch, although I'm not sure I'll make it through all 10 episodes.

April Fools Day is no fun anymore. The Right makes up so many stories nowadays that it's April Fools Day every day (except they don't fess up to the joke).
