Just no quality from Halifax today.

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Toth has also been very poor today.

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Good lord LeMire is poor today. Get her off the pitch Stephen!

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

The Tides are collectively having a howler today. LeMire started the downward spiral by fluffing the clearance on Small's opener. Poor decisions happening all over the pitch for them since.

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Does anyone have data to show who is having the best season at each position?

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

First weekend with no PPL matches. Guess I'll just go to the lake or something....

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

The rare time penalties is probably the only way to solve this game. Neither side with enough quality to finish the other off, no matter how many minutes get played. It would be nil nil into infinity.

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

I suppose before we can answer any of that, we need to understand what our current reality looks like. What are all of the shortcomings in the soccer ecosystem/landscape? What needs to change or be improved? I know this list is long, but what else are we going to do for the rest of the summer?

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

I suppose one question to ask is what does real growth look like? Growth that will affect the short-term/immediate, the medium-term/next gen of Nats, and long-term/two plus generations from now.

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

So, how does Canadian soccer fully take advantage of all the gains from this World Cup to get the most critical impact, to maximize the benefit? Canada Soccer's ended up with over $30 million. There are more eyes on CSN soccer than ever before. What do they do with it all?

All #YXE soccer folks, there's a whole pile of #PrairiesPremierLeague action happening this weekend. Tonight in Men's action, Sask Excel vs. TBay Chill at SMF 8PM. Tomorrow in Women's action, Sask Excel vs. TBay Chill at SMF 7PM. Sunday in Men's action, Forza vs. TBay Chill at SMF 11AM.

Not gonna lie, the pace of this MorNed match makes ours yesterday look like it was played in slow motion.

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

Wait, we've won a WC knock out match BEFORE Japan has??? That doesn't seem right.

I don't know about you, but I think I'd choose playing South Africa in the R32 over South Korea any day.

Ralph Priso watch back on? Gutted for Alfie. Just don't think it's going to happen for him. Will he still be at a high enough level come 2030??

JFC Kone's out for tomorrow due to illness?!?! This is really not good. He's our best mid now. Can we not catch a break??

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 30/05/2026

Not the healthiest 26 he could have called, but definitely the best 26 we have. Let's show the world, boys! 🍁⚽🏟️

So what's Phonzie's actual timeline? Is there chance he's back for Bosnia?

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

I hope the Blizzard can show a bit better this second half. Defensively they've been ok but offensively they've been toothless.

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 28/04/2026

If Whitecaps fans think a grassroots campaign will stop American billionaires from relocating the team to Las Fucking Vegas, they sorely underestimate US billionaires. Now that locations are being publicly leaked, the team is gone.

An unfortunate turnout at McMahon for the Wild vs. Roses match. Results like this won't help the case, either.

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 25/04/2026

I know it's not even a full game in, but the overall quality of this NSL game is higher than any game last year. That's great to see. Same thing for the CPL as well. Every game this season has been better overall quality than previous seasons.

Jeff Salisbury @jeffsalisbury.bsky.social · 19/04/2026

@nlights-sg.bsky.social Riviere's having a tough one against that Brazilian winger.

Gotta think Merriman is on the hot seat if Pacific lose a third to start the season. Or does Pacific care enough?

It amazes me how much Italian-heritage people think it's their birthright to be at the World Cup. Look, I get that Italy is a multi-time winner, but to me, no nation, not even Brazil, deserves to be at the World Cup.

Is there a Bluesky list that focuses on Canadian soccer podcasts and YouTube channels? I'm surprised to see we haven't had ANY views for our We The PPL vodcast via Bluesky, which I find surprising and a bit suspect.

Let's just put it out there for what today's match was: a very real display of why Kamal Miller simply isn't at this level any longer. Can a magician just give us our first choice backline for Tuesday please? We REALLY need our starting back four healthy ASAP!
