Big Blue lives again!!!! The IBM 3151 Terminal is up a running and connected to my raspberry pi. Pictures don’t do it justice. That green glow is pure magic. #vintagecomputer #crt #terminal #retrogaming #chicagolandretrotech

Still on the Heathkit today… cleaning and testing some VERY tarnished chips! So far, they all cleaned up and tested good 😊. I ordered the missing RAM, it will take a while to get here, so I’m in wait mode. #vintagecomputer #chicagolandretrotech #vintageelectronics #heathkit

Getting set up to work on this Heathkit ET-3400 “trainer”! Should be a good learning project just getting it back up and running… plus a good chance to break out the new Logic Analyzer and start learning how to use that… #vintagecomputer #retro #vintageelectronics #chicagolandretrotech

I also have a ton of disk archiving to do… Picked up a bunch of both 3.5 and 5.25 Atari disks at VCFMW this weekend! #physicalmedia #floppydisk #atari #vintagecomputer #chicagolandretrotech

Picked up an Atari 520ST over the weekend… initial triage shows quite a bit of corrosion. The GLUE socket seems to be the worst with at least one broken pin so far… #vintagecomputer #retrocomputing #Atari

Breaking down my four drive stack after VCFMW… four 1050s is a bit overkill for everyday use so I pulled one to hook up to the MiSTer. The MiSTer recognizes it’s a “Happy” drive, reads the enhanced density and has worked with everything I’ve thrown at it. #retrocomputer #physicalmedia #atari

8/10 was a success! I was able to duplicate the “The Chip” mod on the Atari 810 Floppy Drive. This unlocks the power of “The Archiver” software package. Fun times ahead The Atari 800 has a few things under the hood as well 😉. I am displaying the whole system at the S.C.A.T table at VCFMW next month.
