I think that one breezed through my awareness - listened to it while working and moved on. I'll have to give it a deeper session.

But, looking back, rhythm and timing has been my weakest area, so I do often wonder if I got off on the wrong foot in my ignorance.

I taught myself largely in the early days, and didn’t even know there were left handed guitars back when I bought my first guitar. Later I thought, well it doesn’t really matter since you have to use both hands anyway. Also, I found that fingering chords was actually harder than strumming for me.

As a lefty, I think I have been playing guitar wrong my entire life, and this is why it has been so hard for me to progress.

In between set load in shifts for Annie, I managed to get in a few more sketches of Wendy for War Bunny. I am still struggling to find a way to make bunnies look menacing. #warbunny #character_design #pencilsketch

I have a daily art practice. During these sessions, I have no rules, no goals, no long term stuff gets worked on. It is a time for pure exploration. Today, two small works came out of this.

Funny thing happened when I took my son to audition for the musical, Annie. The director asked me to audition too. I was like, "Uh, what? I don't even have anything prepared" Now, I am in a musical, acting, singing and dancing and stuff. September 18th - October 4th thelandingsv.org/events/scott...

Interesting that you compare speeding and illegal immigration. Speeding is demonstrably worse for society both in terms of financial and bodily harm, in the aggregate. Yet, we do not see support for storm troopers gunning down commuters on the highways.

Then, for a while, interpreted languages like Python and Javascript brought that wait down to near zero. Now, we are back again twiddling our thumbs while we wait for the computer to convert our prompts into high-level code.

Funny how life in the tech world repeats itself. Back in the day, you had to wait for computers to compile your high-level code to machine code. It was always a puzzle to figure out what to do while you waited.

Both of these quotes are fabricated. They were probably designed by someone who is more interested in creating conflict and discord than serious criticism.

Happy Father's Day to all the pops out there. My family took me out for brunch. On the way, I got to pick out the music, so I chose the GenX classic, the Heavy Metal Movie Soundtrack. I think everyone really enjoyed how I described in detail how each track was used in the movie.

Why do people post other people's artwork? I am really curious about that. I guess it would be one thing if there was some kind of commentary or critique. But I see this all the time - just a post of something someone else did, and that's it.

One of the great difficulties in life is that reality and what makes you feel good are often very different things. Sometimes, they are diametrically opposed.

The answer is obvious. Bezos doesn't want to lose out on Federal contracts that he needs so badly for Blue Origin. So, his ambition outweighs any kind of moral standing, or principles he may have. Either that, or he really doesn't have any.

Jeff Bezos on Trump: "Trump has lots of good ideas, and he’s been right about a lot of things." and "I think he is a more disciplined version of himself than he was in his first term." Why is it so hard for Bezos to criticize Trump?

In the AI age, where all knowledge work can be performed better and more efficiently by an AI, it occurs to me that, in a way, we all may be pushed towards the role of the artist. The value we create will be tied much more to what we make, than our ability to make it.

Of course, historically, it has been easier to make a living as an engineer, because your skills are applicable to many other people's needs. So, getting paid for your skills is usually a lot easier than getting paid to be an artist.
