My percussion-obsessed son has joined Matrix Performing Arts, an indoor drum corps. He will be performing with their Open Ensemble on bass drum. They have a unique “calendar” fundraiser to help with the costs of instruments & travel. Please consider donating to this great group!

I put a piece of black vinyl on my home office window to block the sunlight from blasting my monitors. Outside this window is a tree that a cardinal has decided to call home. He sees his reflection, and defends his turf from the intruder at all hours of the day by attacking the glass.
