Some "dug in" Pzgrenadiers for my mediterranean collection. Spare figures left over from my Perry plastics. Then I decided I needed at least two sections, so i used a load of odds and sods from the plastic pile to do the same with Warlord plastics.

Painted some Baccus Peninsular British to fight my French in some 6mm battles. Still not decided what rules to use yet, and these chaps are going to need some Cavalry and Artillery support before they hit the table.

Definitely Greg, the rules expect your units to be made up of a number of bases, I simply decided all infantry and cavalry had 4 bases and Artillery had 1. I used micro dice to show how many bases there were and also how many disruption points they were carrying 👍

Hmm, they didn't figure in any of my games, ill have a look next time I play 🤔 👍

This week has been mostly about learning to play Soldiers of Napoleon. 2 solo games and 1 against my grandson and I have to say, I like them! Simple mechanics, but lots of nuance in how you use your cards. Will definitely play more in the future 😊

The Shermans used a SL which helps a lot, I did have to cheat a bit and take 20 pts instead of 19. I totally get what you say about order dice though, I have to fight this again with 25 pts of support and thats not necessarily an advantage. A red dice would be handy, but neither side qualifies.

After about 3 phases he rolls triple 6 and it's game over. I lost the game without a single casualty 😂 Colonel Goode must have lost his bottle and called the attack off.

Second game of the 29 Lets Go campaign from TFL. My US platoon marched across the table under the watchful eye of a platoon of Sherman tanks, my opponent threw lots of 5's building up CoC dice and ending 2 turns. I was FM11 so 11 phases in the final Countdown.

Modified Neil Thomas Napoleonics, the next time we play we'll be using Soldiers of Napoleon. NT's rules are no longer scratching the itch for me im afraid. Yes, Conflix. Another thing that needs addressing is my terrain collection for this period 😀

The Germans came back today, to have another crack at taking the objective from Uncle Sams boys. Instead of putting all their eggs in one basket by taking a Brummbar, they instead took a Pz 3 and a Luchs, wise choice this time around 👍

So while I had the paints out for my ancients I thought I'd paint up a free sprue I had from WI of Warlord epic Carthaginians. Just wanted to see what I could achieve with them, they don't fit in with any other collection I have but I just followed the brushes.
