ebay really needs a "anywhere EXCEPT the US option" Even before shipping cost hundreds the import duties were crazy. I've almost always skiped listings coming from the US.

Funny, this marketplace listing has a photo that shows the real price at half what they are selling the system for. I love our current timeline.

Ah yes, another game of guess the items I came in to get and the items I picked up along the way. But really they have all their Christmas candy out now so it's the first I'm seeing a lot of my favorites since last December, I even passed on some of it for next time.

I haven't even read the article and I already know that's some bad news there.

Wait.... why did I post that screenshot here? I guess this is what I get for walking and posting again.

Damn, my playlist for my commute tonight is litt, Wonderwall followed by Seven Nations Army. Making it REALLY hard not to start singing on the streetcar, but I am visibly jamming out.

Actually I think the print is paused mid-print. The screen is off but the camera light is flashing and the print head is in a weird spot.

They need to empty their poop bin. This is why I never understood the ones that attach vs a bucket.

Found this system that I'm really thinking about grabbing. I'm pretty sure it's a good price for what it is since it includes everything except a drive. It is a traditional chassis with the ports on the back, but it's also full ATX and not ITX so should be more expandable in the future.

That's a new one, not "identify thing" but instead "identify things that do" How curious.

Another day, another "wut?" on the aliexpress homepage.

110 1

Jeff Higgins @jeff.bsky.higgy.social · 7h

What the fuck is up with everything right now. My typical computer parts supplier literally only has 3 ITX boards in stock right now. I knew it was bad out there, but not bad enough to be even limiting stock of entry level consumer boards.

As well the SuperMicro chassis I want is sold out everywhere or double the price on Amazon. I may just try to bring my R410 back online, it's power hungry in comparison but it's what I've got already.

Damn, that's a decent price for once. December Japan trip anyone?

Oops, I accidentally grabbed the wrong drink order. Fortunately it's the same as my order, I hope this Justin knew to take my drink.

Lol, typical, get an email about it not even minutes after I check myself.

Cool, was wondering where that package was at. It was a preorder from earlier in the year so I wasn't desperately waiting for it, but I did remember today that I got the shipping notification on the 8th and haven't heard anything about it since. Just coincidence I checked today.

Good. Now if only a vote showing that a vast majority of people didn't want something would cause the smaller group to finally shut up about it.

020 2

Jeff Higgins @jeff.bsky.higgy.social · 23h

Nah, think I'll go for S37, T4 a close 2nd. S20 was just too creepy in most styles. It's really hard to pick when the face can change so much with different wigs and other accessories. (These are all the same head)

Jeff Higgins @jeff.bsky.higgy.social · 23h

These are my choices (mostly, I could not find a comprehensive list with photos), first column only. I got the A6 and A1. Thinking I'll ask for the S20, I remember I was looking at that one before as well.

Finally got an update on the thing, seems there was a problem so they had to make another one. Glad they have high standards I guess. They're offering me a free head, I really only wanted the one, but I bought a 2nd one cause it was on sale. No idea what I'd pick for a 3rd one.

Ugh, I hate showing, my skin feels so gross afterwards for at least 24h if not more. I can't fathom how people can do this daily?

It has been interesting reading Idol x Idol, a manga from a mangaka who traditionally only includes female characters in their work. It's fine though, the old men chapters have included some deep lore drops to make up for it.

Oh no, just noticed I only have 6 chapters left until I'm caught up... I should probably stop and take a break again soon. Don't want to end on a cliffhanger. And sadly I'm mid-arc again. Hopefully won't take as long of a break this time so I don't have to get back into it again when I resume.

Still haven't watched the new MT season, but this the opening popped up in my recommends and OMG Lucy is adorable! I am excited to watch it, still a little sad I didn't catch up to the anime reading the LN. I COULD put it off, the 2nd cour won't air till next year.

Neat, you can see the marks in the packaging where a robot arm or something similar used suction cups to pick up the container.

They made very quick work of it, had the whole thing down in only a handful of hours.

010 1

Jeff Higgins @jeff.bsky.higgy.social · 16/10/2026

There is a new crane in the way of my view that wasn't there last night, as it happens they just put that up today. You can also see my favorite tower fire truck checking things out this morning. Probably when they made the decision to bring it down or not.

110 1

Jeff Higgins @jeff.bsky.higgy.social · 16/10/2026

It's begun, they're bringing down the building that burned down. Because it is close to the DVP (major road/highway) and was at risk of collapsing onto the road they closed it tonight to tear it down. The crane/claw thing is sitting on the road.

Me... just about every morning when going to the office. It's important... and realistically point takes a couple of mins when ordering ahead.
