This story has been updated following the Lane Johnson news. It now includes this: "it’s fair to wonder if the makeup of the offensive line will make it possible for this offense to reach its full potential."

The Eagles leave for London Friday, fly overnight, arrive Saturday morning, have a walkthrough, rest, play the game Sunday, then fly home. Concern about jet lag? "We went through all of this," Nick Sirianni said. "We feel like this is giving our team the best chance to win."

Huge swing there for the Eagles. It was about to be halftime with the Eagles ahead 13-10 and the Rams getting the ball out of the break. Quinyon Mitchell's penalty stopped the clock, put more time back on, and the Rams decided to try to go get points.

A fan in front of the press box just yelled toward the Eagles coaching booth for Sean Mannion to call a run. Instead Jalen Hurts throws a deep ball to Dontayvion Wicks that draws a penalty and puts the Eagles on the 10-yard line with a chance at the end zone...

Does Kevin Willard think Villanova successfully closed the gap between the Wildcats and UConn/St. John’s? Here’s his answer from yesterday… full story at the link below: www.inquirer.com/college-spor...
“Absolutely,” he said Thursday. “I think in practice, if you come watch practice, the level of physicality, it’s almost a little bit too much. I haven’t practiced longer than 90 minutes so far. Just the experience we have, the games that these guys have played in, they understand what high-level basketball is all about.

“I think one of the issues last year was we were so young at times we just didn’t understand the physicality we were going to have to play. Last year’s group played with unbelievable heart and passion. It’s why we won so many games. It just wasn’t old enough and physical enough to be able to understand what you have to do to win at a little bit higher level.”

If I'm reading Nick Sirianni's lips correctly (a big if), and he does say to Hurts something along the lines of "yard and a half" ... the issue is it shouldn't be Tush Push or punt. There are other ways to get 1.5 yards.
