I hope in the future we can see this for what I think it is: a genuine landmark metal album. For a lot of people this will be just a 7/10, but for me this being any less than an 11 is insane. To leave off, I'll let the album summarise my feelings on it in it's own words:

I also relate to a lot of this album so heavily. It's so concise and strong in it's emotions. Shit like this is utterly soul rending.

2. Joey Valence and Brae - Hyperyouth I have been rooting for JVB for a MINUTE, I became a fan of theirs right before their first album dropped because I saw them open for limp bizkit and they're STILL the best opener I've ever seen. No one knew who they were but they got the entire crowd jumping.

3. Deftones - Private Music The most consistent band in rock and metal. Their previous 2 albums fell a bit short of their highest points in my opinion, but this is their best since koi no yokan, or even diamond eyes if im feeling sicko. This also feels like them pushing their sound forward

4. Model/Actriz - Pirrouette I'd never heard anything like this before i listened to it. Really fun gay, gay, GAY dance-post-punk. Very danceable, catchy songs with a tangible layer of darkness just under the surface. Sounds like running a stick along some railings and making a song out of it

HONORABLE MENTION Ghost - Skeletá I love Ghost and I love this album, but I don't think I like it as much as other Ghost fans do. I mean Peacefield is easily one of my favourite Ghost songs, but i don't think i like it much more than Impera or any of the previous albums

watched god speed love and one exceptionally poor costuming choice aside holy SHIT i am blown away. best rider movie (that i've seen) easily. the tears i cried at this ending holy shit. it's written in such a way that it's "canonicity" doesn't matter, but i am accepting this shit as canon
