book cover, photograph, top 7/8ths is a blue sky almost fully covered by white clouds. 2/5ths of the way down is the title: elsewhere, within here: Immigration, refugeeism, and the boundary event - in a black font. Below the title there are three strands of barbed wire, stretching horizontally under the title. Beneath this, there is the author’s name in a white font. Under this, there are four more horizontal strands of barbed wire. There are two figures, both with dark hair, arranged in large buns. No clothing is visible, both are facing away, holding on to the wire in a possible climbing posture or a peering through. Their backs are painted like the US flag. Each person’s arms are swabbed with white coloring while their backs display red and white stripes painted to resemble a flag blowing in the wind. The person on the left is larger/closer to the camera? abd has three white stars on a blue background. The lower right corner has the curled page image implying that the book is opening.

If you want to be faithful to Satrapi's own understanding of "dying from grief" consider reading this novel which addresses the death of her uncle from a broken heart/lost love. Go to the source, if you can. She had a complex understanding of love & loss in this somewhat early work.
the cover of a graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi. The background is purple. Her name, in serif font, is in black ink above the title, which is larger in white, Poulet aux prunes. "Poulet" is in a larger font than "aux prunes," which is beneath "Poulet." The author's name and the title of the novel tkes up the top third of the cover. Beneath the title is the silhouette of a walking figure wearing a man's hat, in a trench coat, carrying an instrument case, similar to a guitar case, but looks like the letter "p," with the bulge facing the ground. There is a shadow beneath the walking figure. At the bottom of the cover is "L'Association," in white font.
