We've also added the `selector-no-invalid` rule for the community to try out before we add it to our shared config. Docs: stylelint.io/user-guide/r...

It's best to configure `languageOptions.directionality` if you use the rules directly. E.g. For a top-to-bottom, left-to-right language like English: ``` languageOptions: { directionality: { block: "top-to-bottom", inline: "left-to-right", }, } ``` Docs: stylelint.io/user-guide/c...

In Stylelint 17.10.0 we've added two more `*-layout-mappings` rules so you can now enforce logical or physical properties, units and keywords. Release notes: github.com/stylelint/st... I've turned on these rules (and a couple of other ones) in stylelint-config-modern: github.com/moderncss/st...

``` export default { "extends": "stylelint-config-standard", "referenceFiles": ["tokens/*.css"], "rules": { "no-unknown-custom-properties": true, "no-unknown-animations": true, "no-unknown-custom-media": true } } ``` Anything defined in the token files is now known to the rules.
In Stylelint 17.9.0 we've added a `referenceFiles` configuration property to make 3 of the `no-unknown` rules, such as `no-unknown-custom-properties` and `no-unknown-animations`, much more useful. Docs: stylelint.io/user-guide/c... Release notes: github.com/stylelint/st...
In Stylelint 17.8.0, we added 3 new rules. The `relative-selector-nesting-notation` one enforces an implicit or explicit nesting selector (`&`): Implicit: `a { b {} }` Explicit: `a { & b {} }` Rule docs: stylelint.io/user-guide/r... Release notes: github.com/stylelint/st...
For example, adding `--rpx` as a custom `<length>`: ``` export default { extends: ["stylelint-config-standard"], languageOptions: { syntax: { units: { length: ["--rpx"] } } }, }; ``` Will now allow: `a { margin: 10--rpx; }` While still catching: `a { margin: 10ms; }`
In Stylelint 17.6.0, we added support for custom units in `languageOption`, which will apply to rules like `declaration-property-value-no-unknown`. Release notes: github.com/stylelint/st... Docs: stylelint.io/user-guide/c...
