Would the new Minister for the South Island have anything to do with the ferry debacle? I mean post Kaikoura and Christchurch earthquakes which hit large parts of the island just got a Minister for recovery of those areas - so what’s changed other their ham fisted handling of the ferry issue?

It is great to see thousands(est. 35k) march onto Parliament peacefully expressing their rights and outrage at politician's attempt to stigmatise and create a sense of fear, envy, outrage and anger against Māori. Equity is worth fighting for.
