For a second, he thinks Aaron’s going to argue. Then Aaron deflates. “Whatever,” he mutters, closing his eyes.

Kevin watches him, chest aching.

on the fourteenth day of #kevaaronmas someone said… “tell me” i got woken up on the couch at 1am after falling asleep there from the heat (i still had food to eat 😭) but it worked out to a) get me to return to my room and actual bed and b) write and post this before passing out (which i do now) 🫡

#kevaaronmas day 12 — matching sweaters so the thing is I didn't read the whole list of prompts so I already wrote matching sweaters for day 2 LOOOL so here are matching sweaters again (no I did not read the rest of the list ahead)

Aaron exhales deeply through his nose.

“We’ve been here for an hour. In just this store. You’ve rejected every design I suggested. I want to go home.”

“None of your choices were flattering.” Kevin forcefully thumps another sweater to Aaron’s chest. “I’m taking my time because I want it to look good on you.”

Aaron softens a tiny bit, even though he thinks it’s ridiculous that Kevin cares so much. Before he can say anything else, Kevin mumbles, “Everything looks great on me, so.”

Kevin switches the current shirt with another. Aaron closes his eyes and takes a calming breath.

Nicky takes the mug from Neil and cradles it to his chest. “You don’t deserve this.”

“I hate marshmallows too,” Neil adds for good measure. Nicky hisses at him, and Neil almost laughs at the absurdity of his reaction.

“Shut up,” Aaron insists again. “This is just very sweet.” Aaron waves the print he’s holding in Kevin’s direction. It’s part of a special edition bundle for one of Aaron’s recent favourite books. He hadn’t managed to get his hand on one, but Kevin casually messaged the author to see what she could do—turns out she’s a big fan. Stupid celebrity privilege.

Kevin smiles at him, all teeth. He’s so cute, Aaron wants to kick him.
