Whoever at #Xbox concluded that Game Pass members would buy additional Cloud Streaming time after they’re already paying for Game Pass in the first place is insane. At this point give subscribers the option to remove it entirely to decrease the monthly price, or keep it for the current price.

Holy shit! So it only took losing billions on bad live service bets/acquisitions. Pissing off gamers, devs, and publishers by announcing a move to a “All Digital Future”. While also destroying their brands reputation for them to finally go “Hey, maybe investing in our classic IP’s is the way to go!”

However, with the addition of AI survivors you have to help escape in order to get better XP progression. It added a nice balance, while also keeping the tension high. The only thing that kind of threw me was just how many different things require skill checks. I’m looking forward to picking it up!

From what I watched last night on Mikes stream. It’s Friday the 13th with some interesting changes thrown in that helps to balance the game. Because in Friday if you got a team of councilors that were all locked, Jason became overly easy to beat.

As much as this could just be marketing by Rockstar, this isn’t this first time I’ve seen this type of discourse on social media. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, BG3, and even Dispatch to some extent. There’s really people out there whose insecurities run that deeply.

Which at that point you’re almost better off just making an entirely brand new game using whatever you assets can salvage from Marathons current state. Something that feels more like a natural continuation, instead of a hail mary. That or pivot back to Destiny to save the studio in the meantime.

For the Casual player base at large a PVE element like that is crucial. Even as Marathon tries to pivot and add PVE I still don’t see it changing perception. Because the type of PVE they need is along the lines of the campaign they built with Halo, and not some mode/map based experiment.

However in #Marathon it’s 100% percent player hostility all the time. Even when you can choose to work together most won’t because player loot is more valuable than map loot. At least in Halo or Destiny there was always something to bring people together to build friendships instead of animosity.

The reason why @marathonthegame.bungie.net has failed to me is pretty clear. In prior @bungie.net games if you didn’t like PVP there was always a common enemy for you and your friends to fight. Whether that be the Covenant, Flood, Fallen, Vex, Cabal, Taken, Dread, or even The Witness.

At this point if I see any new game announced and the words “Live Service” appear in the announcement. I fully check out. The only live service game I would be interested in, because it’s a “3rd Space” for me, would be Destiny 3. Even that would depend on how they plan to monetize it though.

I have never been a big #Gears PVP guy, but have always enjoyed horde mode. I have to say that E-Days Horde mode is absolutely awesome! I love that even running from objective to objective you have to stay aware. Because a group of Boomers or even nastier Locusts can be right around any corner.

They could have made ODST games that were based off the Kilo-5 trilogy, and added more stealth/squad control options. Which would have helped to better set up game only player for Halo 4. It honestly feels like no one at Halo Studios actually pays attention to their own universes lore.

The biggest mistake Halo ever made was only focusing on Master Chief. The Halo Universe moved along without him after 3. There’s lots of lore that happens between 3 and 4, even more between 4 and 5. Games should have been made to help bridge that gap and showcase other protagonists from the books.

I love Batman 89. The only thing that always throws me off about the suit is the Symbol. Maybe it’s a Mandela Effect, but I always think it looked more like the symbol on the actual movie box art. It’s just odd that the box art and suit have different symbols.

Every big gaming site seems like they’re paid PR machines now rather than an unbiased new site. I used to visit IGN daily for my gaming news, but I find independent outlets to be far more trustworthy and balanced now. I feel like big sites are too afraid to be honest now and risk loss of access.

We’ve got a place in Hillsboro Oregon called Next Level Pinball Museum. It’s an awesome place filled with Pinball Machines and tons of classic arcade games. It’s also got a lot of pop culture memorabilia all over the walls. Everything from actions figures to lunch boxes and of course posters.

I have a LG monitor myself, and was able to confirm that the adware had recently been installed on my system without ever notifying me about it. I deleted it and had to download Local Policy Editor onto my Win11 Home Edition(since it’s not included) to block it permanently from reinstalling

The guys at @gamersnexus.bsky.social just discovered the other day that LG monitors are installing adware onto users computers simply by just plugging the monitor in, and giving said adware full access to your system. No asking for consent or permission from the users at all.

What I mean by “Complete Edition” is one that includes all of the dlc and patches on the disc. Even if it means you have to install the game on to your SSD for it to work. You could make the option be basically made to order, or a limited run at a time, so you’re not over spending on production.

PlayStation is trying to lock people into their walled garden and only give them one option for purchases through the PS Store. Where they can control everything and get the biggest cuts. Not an ounce of this is for the consumers benefit. As a PS owner since PS2, the PS5 will be my last PS console.

I believe he has story compilations too that catch up players and bridge gaps which include cutscenes

Destiny 1 yes for both, but it’s showing its age for sure. Destiny 2 Gameplay is great, but for story you’re missing a lot because Bungie chose to design the game around fomo instead of boxed expansions like D1. Although, @mynameisbyf.bsky.social has you covered if you really want the lore side.

I’ve been a console gamer since I first got my hands on a NES controller. I’ve owned every console since the Xbox/PS2/Cube. So it’s crazy to me, that in one console gen both #Xbox and #PlayStation have made me never want to buy another one of their consoles ever again.
