Last week of criminal court here in Moore County has been quite a ride. Long days, suprises both welcome and unwelcome, and now I 'm done except for one civil contempt hearing before moving on. It's been bittersweet. I'm going to miss most of the people. But here we go.

So, the news: After 37 years in private practice, I've accepted an offer to work as an Assistant Public Defender in nearby Hoke County. I'll be able to concentrate on protecting my clients from government overreach and sloppy police work and not have to worry about running an office.
