It's not just that he chased her out of town, it's that he said if she didn't leave she'd stop at a red light someday & someone would snatch Eva & Leslie would never see her again😐 Leslie's a villain but the show moved on from the Duprees being aligned with someone who threatens kids pretty quickly

I wouldn't say that's true. She wants Eva to be viewed as on the SAME LEVEL as the Duprees (if not higher). But she's never done anything to suggest she wants Eva to be confused for a Dupree or cash in on their name. Her obsession & fantasy has consistently been her, Ted, & Eva being a happy family
