I lost my dog on Thursday.
I miss her.
She is not there to eat my crumbs, she is not there to eat the ice I drop out of the ice maker.
Her bed no longer sits in the corner, and her blankets have been washed and folded.
She doesn’t follow me up and down the stairs,
or follow me to the bathroom.
