It’s on Phil. I wonder whether he has the mentality to go on and be a true great. It’s certainly not a question of ability but something is holding him back. He’ll be 25 in May. He should be primed to be the main man for both club and country, but I can’t see it at the moment.

Nuance is always difficult to find after a defeat like that. A lot of folks probably just conflating the implosion with the overall, fairly decent performance up until 85. Which is not to excuse the circus of the last five minutes. Brain fade central.

#Gladiator2 isn't fit to lace the sandals of the first film, lacking the emotional heft of Scott's original, BUT Denzel Washington's towering performance is worthy of an Emperor's thumbs up alone, and the battles are bloody, brutal, and built for the biggest screen. ★★★
