Also, the funniest joke I have ever seen on TV remains on New Girl where Winston is shooting garbage into a waste basket, and he quietly says “Craig Hodges!” It is so niche and specific, a clip of it doesn’t appear on the internet, and I have to believe only 15% of the audience got it.

I've gone back and watched the major news broadcasts of September 11 quite a few times over the years, and ABC really killed it the most. Charlie Gibson on Good Morning America handing off to Peter Jennings was really a the best lineup you could ask for. Those guys were built different.

Honorable mention to this Explosions in the Sky album that was released one week before Sept. 11 that contained a plane on the album cover and liner notes that said "This plane will crash tomorrow." They had to explain their way out of that one for a while.
