Just because other detainees may be fathers, it does not mean any of this is okay. The fathers could be grown men or boys who are acting without consent. Even in cases of ”young love” its not okay for girls to get pregnant inside or outside of a prison.

I think it’s highly likely that ICE agents are the fathers in many of these cases, but maybe other detainees are the fathers in some cases. Still not a good look for ICE either way.

There is nothing wrong with the trades, but people in the trades need to understand finance, accounting, and other “white collar” skills- particularly if they want to own their own business or have a managerial role.

It’s also a newspaper, which are not as relevant as they once were. I came from perhaps the last generation where *everybody* read *the* paper. Now some people read Reddit, some people read Twitter, some get their news and medical advice from Facebook memes.

The contracts are one sided and pretty much saddle the drivers with all the costs like repairs on the truck. Truckers not only have long hours, but are way from home and their net income is very small. Your better off flipping burgers part time than driving a truck FULL time.

I used to have a lot of truck driver clients. Trucking has gone to shit because many trucking companies treat the drivers as independent contractors to avoid payroll taxes, overtime rules, unions, etc.
