In my comedy game Drywall Eating Simulator, I had a minigame where players had to clean the bathrooms of a retail store as a gag. Everything I was coming up with was feeling really tedious and flat, so I just replaced the whole minigame with a "censorship" gag and called it a day.

They did an amazing job with the character art too (building off of @christapaolucci.com's early work!) But I really appreciate them as someone who I'm able to bounce ideas/designs/techniques off of and who is really smart and thoughtful about the work they do. Thats all, Naud is the best lol.

An intentionally mysterious meta-work. It asks the viewer to think about the purpose of a placeholder. What need is it actually filing? Did the artist intend to actually replace this simple graphic and text with a "greater" work? Or is its submission a statement into itself, that the only purpose for this art is to fill negative space? The artist was kept anonymous as a bid to keep the focus entirely on the piece itself.

(Spoilers I guess lol) One of the things we didn't really talk about, which honestly was my favorite part of the game that I was amazed we managed to pull off, was the final level entering "cyberspace" where we fit in 3 different retro computer aesthetics in.
