Finally making some headway into learning Rhino and Grasshopper, wish I made the switch from AutoCAD earlier. Still just learning the basics but can see the potential. Controlling parameters with sliders allows for multiple variations of with little setup. Really fun. #printsky #penplotter

August '26 Print Set I like plotting with the 'Xtra Bold' Bic Cristal pens. Once you pass a certain density of lines and saturation of ink, the paper and ink start to interact in such great unpredictable ways. #penplotter #bantamtools #bicpens #printmaking

26.0411.01 Wanted to test out a new ink lineup and pulled out this file from a few months back. I had only run it previously with gel pens and I like it much better with the fountain pen inks. There's a spot where the lines end before the overlap that pools up ink and creates a great drop shadow.

Feb. '26 print set Adding silkscreening into the toolbox has been on my list for a while but the process of burning screens has always been a hurdle with the home studio setup. Using heat transfer vinyl in lieu of emulsion really makes it much more accessible. #printmaking #printsky #penplotter

I've done smaller pieces with folds in the process but these are my first larger pieces. The simplest move is to fold, flatten the paper back out, and allow the texture to impact the plot. Ink on folded 18"x24" watercolor paper #penplotter #printsky #paperfolding #printmaking

First print set of '26. I haven't worked with fountain pens in a while as I've been enjoying working with Signo gel pens. In 2025 I learned a lot about tone creation via line spacing so excited to see what is possible with the large variety of fountain pen inks. #printsky #penplotter #printmaking

October ' 25 print set. Took some arcs, took some curves, and pushed and pulled them into these flowing calligraphic shapes. I love the Uniball UM-153's and get enough tones out of my go-to red, blue, gold, and black that I doubt I'll ever get tired of them. #penplotter #printsky #printmaking

September '25 Print Set Patreon subscription link in bio. I use the red, blue, and black Uniball Signo UM-153 pens a lot. They are the only colors I can find refills for, which saves me from tossing the plastic shells. The 1.0mm tip really packs the ink in. #printmaking #penplotter #pruntsky

Taking a break from all that's going on to share this month's print set. I worked with a much lighter weight paper than usual which put limits on how thick you could apply the pen ink. Still lots of layers and the gesso pulls up layers from the bottom. #penplotter #printmaking #printsky #abstract
