Current game: SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI III: NOCTURE REMASTER That’s a mouthful of a title. Originally on the PlayStation 2, remastered for the PS4 and played on the PS5. I didn’t realize how much of the creatures and mechanics carried over to the Persona games till now. #atlus #gamer #videogames #RPG

Supergirl - You know this was ok. I did like how they played with how the different colored suns messed with her abilities. I would have liked to see more of how she dealt with being on Earth for the first time. I do have two problems with the story, but I don't feel like going on about them here.

The Toxic Avenger - Not as hardcore as the old Troma film, but still had some funky gory stuff. I remember this played somewhere and no studio wanted to distribute the movie, but people that had seen it said it was really good.

The Killing - This heist film by Kubrick is told in a somewhat nonlinear style. The studio made them add voice over to explain everything because they were afraid the audience wouldn't understand. This is an alright movie, but I didn't care for the ending.

A Chinese Ghost Story 3 - Quite a bit of comedy & never really scary, this ghost "love" story is great. Loved all the practical effects, even if half of them were cheesy. I like how they deal with the supernatural in these types of movies because they aren't trying to be over the top blood and guts.

Eye For an Eye 2 - I just wasn't into this story of the blind swordsman helping a little kid not get revenge then finally helping. Most of the action scenes are good. The main bad guy wasn't great. This is another movie I wish I would have just skipped.

Godzilla VS Gigan -I was not expecting them to put up word balloons when Godzilla talked to the other monster. Also, it seems like a lot of aliens want to take over the earth & defeat Godzilla in these movies. The film was EH. Godzilla takes a pounding, but I just wasn't feeling these kaiju fights.

Judge Dredd - Read that the director wanted this a hard R, while Stallone pushed for it to be PG13 with lots of jokes. It has its good parts, but in the end really falls short. The one with Urban as Dredd is better. This has better production values with the way everything looked.

72 Hours - This poster sucks. The movie was better than I was expecting. Had some good laughs. Hart wasn't whiny like he is in many of his other movies. Being old and trying to fit in with the youngins is pretty relatable.

The Narrow Margin - I shouldn't count this because I missed the first 5 minutes, but this is a great small budget film noir! Kept you on your toes wondering if the cop was going to make it or not with lady he was charged to protect. This was remade with Gene Hackman.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - Definitely not as good as the first one. It's cool to see all the different things from the games fitted into the movie, but I just felt it was missing something. Just not as funny.

The Thomas Crown Affair - I'm going to say I like Brosnan's version better. I was disappointed that McQueen's character didn't actually rob the bank. The film went all in on using split screen. Worked really well during the polo scene. In the end I just felt the story lacked something.

Mortal Kombat II - Not much of a fan of this one. Johnny Cage and Kano kept me watching. Specially Kano's jokes just like the last one. The action was alright I guess. Parts of the story were very predictable.

Damn, thesaurus isn’t messing around.

Josh B @jbpro.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Demon Slayer INFINITY CASTLE - At times it made me think it felt more like a show than a movie when it would have these long scenes about how/why the demons became demons. The animation is fantastic and the story compelling, but if you haven't seen the show you will be totally lost.

Spider-Man BRAND NEW DAY - Spider does what a spider can. Hits all the right notes if you are a spider-man fan. A+

Masters of the Universe -Reminded me of the Flash Gordon movie of the 80's! I really liked it. Maybe a little goofy for some, but it worked for me.I thought Skeletor was great.Could have did without the big robot, but Man-at-Arms wasn't just a side character. They gave him something to do. Fun time.

Josh B @jbpro.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Spider-man: NO WAY HOME - There are so many characters, but it just works! I do feel that Sandman and Lizard got the short end of the stick though. The rest of the bad guys had a bit more going on.

Godzilla vs Megalon - Ok, first this movie does not have a scene where Godzilla battles it out on top of the World Trade Center. It doesn't even take place in America! The plot is janky as hell.

Enola Holmes 3 - As a whole, I enjoyed this. A few times I thought something was weird or a mistake and it was explained later was something I liked. I did not like most of the fighting. Too many cuts and weird closeups.

Spider-Man FAR FROM HOME - Not as great as Home Coming in my opinion, but still good. I could have done without the Nick Fury stuff. Let Spidey breathe on his own. Mysterio was a great villain.

Toy Story 5 - Saw this with my sister and her three kids. Really great movie. It was nice that the film focused more on Jesse the cowgirl than Buzz and Woody. The parents should have stepped in a little sooner though!

They Will Kill You - If you want over the top murder action then check this film out! The fire scene was cool as hell.

Spider-Man HOMECOMING - I'm watching the Tom spider-mans before the new one comes out. They pretty much nailed this one. I could do with a little less Tony Stark in it. The vulture was a legit good bad guy. They should bring him around again.

Jack Ryan GHOST WAR -I stopped this after the first 20-30 minutes and told myself it wasn't worth finishing. I don't know why, but a few days later I gave it another shot. I guess I was in the right mood because I finished it. That's all I'm going to say about this one.

Shooting R.E.M. we did this trippy in-camera effect that blurred and streak the character Jessie. Pretty easy effect to do.We just held a special piece of glass in front of the camera lens then moved it around. #indiefilm #phoenix #azfilm #1018filmsaz #remfilm #filmmaking
