People got very invested in the idea of Dany as some kind of avenging angel when she pretty much insane from the start and just wanted power for herself.

Yeah, it was admittedly a little ham fisted in how it played out but it's not a terrible idea in principle.

Binge watching it makes season 8 significantly better and more cohesive with the rest of the show.

My extemely controversial opinion on GOT is that season 8, while not nearly as good as the first few, is actually Fine and the reason it was so panned (in addition to its actual problems) is that there was so much anticipation for it that nothing could have lived up to the hype.
