Once again, you’ve lost the plot. You claim is that soaps/GH “never” make “logical” sense when bringing characters back from the dead or introducing twins. Sometimes they do: sometimes not, but “never” is wrong. Regardless, you can stand on your assertion and still be wrong. No problem there.

120

J. Bernard Jones @jbernardjones.bsky.social · 05/06/2026

Well, you the misused phrase & it’s still untrue that they “never” make any logical sense. But then, in talking about GH, we are discussing a show where a family has tried to freeze and superheat the entire world a couple of times and had a mind swapping arc that lasted off/on for years.

J. Bernard Jones @jbernardjones.bsky.social · 05/06/2026

I don’t care if you’re done with it. I wasn’t being “hostile.” (If I was, you’d know it.) The point is that this story is STILL playing out & there are answers yet to be revealed. So instead of calling it a “bad rewrite,” let’s see how it plays out. If these questions remain, then call it that.

J. Bernard Jones @jbernardjones.bsky.social · 05/06/2026

It doesn’t imply Faison raised him. My legal last name is my mother’s late husband who died when I was 6-7 months old. The man who raised me — her second husband — has an entirely different last name. There are many ways this could play out that don’t imply anything you’re inferring.

J. Bernard Jones @jbernardjones.bsky.social · 05/06/2026

My “take” is what’s been played on screen and written in dialogue. Yours id your re-interpretation.

100

J. Bernard Jones @jbernardjones.bsky.social · 04/06/2026

To clarify: Cassius did not say Faison’s name. To Lulu, she thought he was talking about Nina’s father, Mr. Reeves, with whom Nathan did not have a close relationship with.

100

J. Bernard Jones @jbernardjones.bsky.social · 04/06/2026

In the context of WUBS’ questions, Cassius never claimed that Faison “raised” him. He only told Lulu that Faison forced him to memorize the periodic table. We don’t know at what age. If he was a little boy or preteen, Nathan & Cassius’ looks would’ve changed.

J. Bernard Jones @jbernardjones.bsky.social · 04/06/2026

I’m more curious about what Liesel knows and doesn’t know.

160

J. Bernard Jones @jbernardjones.bsky.social · 04/06/2026

This is untrue. There is no “standard practice.” Shows vary by network and headwriters. Nathan was not brought back from the dead. He’s still dead. Cassius explained to Joss that it was Faison’s idea to keep his existence secret. Why? We don’t know.

110

J. Bernard Jones @jbernardjones.bsky.social · 04/06/2026

Unexplained plot points do not count as “rewrites” or “plot holes.” A rewrite changes previously known information (as if we’d previously been told Faison never had any children). A plot hole would be a story was concluding without answering obviously outstanding questions. This is neither. #GH

They can’t because everyone is working off of incomplete information. And they don’t know which other characters have pieces they need to neutralize Sidwell. #GH

Lucas going to the police is to squeeze Pascal. This is to leverage Pascal for information about Sidwell. Pascal has information about Sudwell’s operations that can be used to take him down legally & straight up implicate Sidwell in Dalton’s murder, which will neutralize Sidwell’s blackmail. #GH

It’s funny: the Curtis/Isaiah story sparked a lot of shitty comments about how #GH “stole” a similar plot from #YR, but I haven’t seen a syllable about #BeyondtheGates “stealing” a similar story from All My Children re: their tornado event. hmph. youtu.be/vZoZExWp6cE?...

The fallout of Cullum’s Shooting is the kind of soap story I love: a major umbrella story touching most of the canvas; ricocheting consequences; characters operating on fragmented information; unexpected dynamics; multiple conflicts. And an emerging star turn in Finn Carr. #GH
