Dr. Joshua Bastian Cole-Kurz @jbcole-kurz.bsky.social · 05/04/2025It feels especially fitting that this SCMS, where I'm still floating from the surprise of hearing myself cited by @drfrancessmith.bsky.social, is taking place in the same setting as 'Source Code': "This feels like exactly where we're supposed to be, doesn't it?" #SCMS25 🏳️⚧️🎓🏳️🌈 050

Dr. Joshua Bastian Cole-Kurz @jbcole-kurz.bsky.social · 22/01/2025I am a contributing dramaturg in this forthcoming anthology from Bloomsbury, releasing this fall but available for pre-order! Dr. Joshua Bastian Cole-Kurz @jbcole-kurz.bsky.social · 21/01/2025Day 1! We did an icebreaker with the stories of our (chosen) names. (Btw, a lot of them didn't know their names' origins or meanings 🤷). Only got to project Bastian here for the first class because the power went out on the whole campus! I held the second one in the dark. QU cancelled classes til 2! 030
Dr. Joshua Bastian Cole-Kurz @jbcole-kurz.bsky.social · 20/01/2025I know David Lynch passed away several days ago, but this felt right for my first post here. Mulholland Drive was pivotal in shaping my professional path. It led to my first major peer-reviewed publication and put me on the map, so to speak. Lynch's work changed everything for me. 040
