That’s according to a leaked IPO filing seen by Reuters, with $8.06 billion specifically highlighted in operating losses for 2025, more than double the $2.98 billion it reported in 2024. The AI startu...

Just realized that the US has been targeting *full* oil tankers. Ignoring for a moment that the whole conflict is a farce, they could have just as well crippled the Iranian economy by targeting *empty* tankers. An avoidable environmental disaster, I suppose none of the decision makers care anyways.

US says it destroyed Iranian oil tankers after Navy ship was targeted
U.S. forces destroyed five Iranian tankers carrying crude oil in response to two attempts to hit a U.S. Navy warship with ballistic missiles in as many days, U.S. Central Command said.

Love this story. There are so many things we can do locally to protect the environment, or even the planet. My go-to example have always been pipelines. They cover vast areas and states just grant companies the permit. They don't have to, but they do it. (Admittedly a simplification but still...)

Oil executives just accidentally exposed the industry’s greatest weakness
To keep drilling, Big Oil needs permission to dump treated fracking wastewater into rivers and onto cropland. We don’t have to give it to them.

It's funny because the rule on how to get a job from 10-20 years ago still holds true: just write a hyper-personal cover letter that speaks to our needs at the lab. Instead I see CVs that are so just walls of text, supposedly optimized for some keywords (that even I don't know what they should be).
