He's like a mix of Prime 1 Meta Ridley and Proteus Ridley, like having the more complete chest armor, but the overall colour scheme is far closer to concept art Proteus Ridley, which makes me feel like Smash worked off of that. Especially cause Meta and Mecha Ridley were simple recolours at E3 2018.
