In more than 2 decades, my travels included Hong Kong a dozen times. Taipei only once. My last visit to both was in 1997, ironically on “Handover Weekend”. With Drumpf in China this week, we can only hope—pray, if you will—that Taipei will fare better in the end. Prayers probably won’t be enough.
