#DVpit #F #HF #NA #LGBT A bloodthirsty wannabe dictator, overreaching governments, magic rules, pirate crews, clifftop duels, and two women who may or may not be able to stop snarking each other long enough to handle it all. Here’s what happens when a thief and a noblewoman have to join forces.

#DVpit #F #HF #NA #LGBT Systemic magic elitism is on the rise and a murderous pirate is on an unchecked rampage. Victory over both hinges on a virtuous thief and a noblewoman vigilante working together long enough to see their mission through. It may be harder than it seems.

#DVpit #F #HF #NA #LGBT Kiana robs the rich to give to those in need. Emeralda left her noble life behind to be a seafaring vigilante. The unlikely duo must cooperate long enough to take down a bloodthirsty pirate. Through magic, duels, and opposing crews, they get along better than they expected.

#DVparty day 6! The next book draft I’m working on is currently titled The Anomaly, a sci-fi story far into the future where an intern on a space station accidentally stumbles across an intergalactic conspiracy while studying strange creatures!

#DVparty day 5!! I like the idea of Salute by Little Mix being a theme song for Of Gemstones and Divinity! I really should make a playlist for it though!

#DVparty day 4! My story as a gif or meme! A little late in the day because I was trying to find a gif that wasn’t directly related to Pirates of the Caribbean haha

#DVparty day 3! “Near silence. Gentle waves lapped at the docks, as well as the hull of a lone ship. Light winds blew through the grounds nearby, hardly disturbing the noble House that sat at the center. In the calm dark of night, peacefulness surrounded the Salvian estate. Almost.”

#DVparty day 2! I’ve got two main characters; Kiana, a Robin Hood-style thief who takes pleasure in disrupting the status quo, and Emeralda, a noblewoman turned seafaring vigilante who wants to make real change in the world! #NA #F #HF #LGBT

Day 1 of #DVparty!! I’m very excited to participate with Of Gemstones and Divinity!! These are a couple moodboards I made a while ago for #QueerPit, but I still love them! I look forward to meeting other creators!! #NA #F #HF #LGBT

Final day of #PitchDis! Day 21! “Share anything about your book!” I made quite a few graphics and moodboards for #QueerPit a little bit ago, and here’s a variation of one that I didn’t share! I had a lot of fun doing the 21 days of PitchDis, and I’m very excited to submit my pitch!!

A moodboard to showcase the vibes of my current manuscript. There are nine images in a grid.
Upper left image: An old-fashioned looking ship on the water, with the horizon in the background.
Upper middle image: Two women waist deep in the sea, a woman with dark hair on the left and a woman with light hair on the right. They’re embracing and kissing.
Upper right image: A nondescript paper map with a compass overtop of it.
Center left image: A brown woman facing right with her head tilted slightly downward. A couple strands of hair obscure her face slightly, her hands are clasped together in front of her face.
Center middle image: Two longswords crossing in a duel. The background is a nondescript wooded area.
Center right image: A white woman facing left with her head tilted slightly upward. One of her hands is holding a strand of her hair.
Bottom left image: A close-up shot of the helm of a ship. Only the top half of the ship’s wheel is visible, there are ropes and sails in the background.
Bottom middle image: A hand with two large rings, one on the pointer finger and one on the ring finger. The hand rests on top of a paper map.
Bottom right image: A shot of an old-fashioned looking ship from behind and slightly to the right. The ship is on the water.

Day 20 of #PitchDis! “What’s your favorite thing about your book?” It’s really hard to pick just one thing! But if I must, I’m a little biased, but I love the banter between the two main characters. It was fun to write and I hope it will be fun to read!!

010

Jadyn @jaystraigis.bsky.social · 06/09/2025

Day 19 of #PitchDis! “What would your main character’s Halloween costume be?” Kiana (thief character) would be something spooky, maybe like an elaborate ghost or zombie. Emeralda (noble lady character) would be something like a nymph, where she could cover herself in flowers!

Jadyn @jaystraigis.bsky.social · 05/09/2025

Day 18 of #PitchDis! “Do you prefer writing alone or with other people?” Usually I write alone, which is just fine for me because I enjoy the peace and focus that comes with that. Though I do enjoy writing with other people around as well, it makes me feel more accountable for my task!

010

Jadyn @jaystraigis.bsky.social · 05/09/2025

Day 17 of #PitchDis! “How did you come up with your main character’s name?” Honestly, for both, I did research on names until I found one I liked for each haha

Jadyn @jaystraigis.bsky.social · 03/09/2025

Day 16 of #PitchDis! “What genre do you plan to write next?” Well I’m planning a sequel to the historical fantasy I’m querying, though in the meantime, I’ve started a sci-fi novella that takes place on a space station!
