Guess I may as well come clean: I've been learnijg kanji via notecards, "essential kanji" at least. Didn't want to make a federal case over it, but I've made it to 1.600 out of 2000, so even if I stop now at least I can't say I didn't, as Purpleeyeswtf put it, "smell the journey"... それ命.

Got a copy of Starbarian Tales a few days ago h̶a̶d̶ t̶o̶ r̶e̶w̶a̶r̶d̶ m̶y̶s̶e̶l̶f̶ w̶i̶t̶h̶ S̶O̶M̶E̶T̶H̶I̶N̶G̶. It was really well made, though DAMN. The character Shredbadd is pure 90s on steroids. Mr. Partridge is a straight up professional to be able to draw him ONCE XP

drive.proton.me/urls/2A6DDEK... ...Just know that I did this for all the indie animators who put more humanly effort than usual (if not necessary) into their work =_=.

Heh, pretty much. You have and always will be a talented animator, Mr. Bandicoot. Though try not to let people like me get you down (even if we're too good at stepping on people's toes xp). This might sound mean, but it's as Woolie said to Don Bluth: "Ignore them. Develop a thick skin" Thank you :)

I'll probably start on my other animation after all given how my remake of a silly Guygizmo cartoon fared. "On Motivation: I think the answer is to just start. Never mind how you feel. It all changes when you start" "There's a great Japanese saying: "Starting is half"" -R. Williams, 2018

Newgrounds animations have started including those award ivy crowns on their title cards, usually reserved for either Hollywood or big budget indie productions. Nothing wrong with that, so long as it's cause they're legit good rather than, oh, Idk, implicit pedestal signalling. Still, congrats! ;D

Some concept art, and Denise doodles, from my scrapped animation. Though let's just say it's mostly scrapped because of what I can only describe as wildly bipolar reception..

Heh, this NOW reminded me of a book on cats that I have by David Alderton (which I do recommend). I know those might be brown and blue California Spangleds. Not sure, but still cool. ^^

The secret to animating is simple: Just draw the exact same image over and over again. Since each image will look different from the other anyway it'll resemble movement. Do this until you get bored of drawing the same image, then draw them doing a thing...

Yup, I've read Mr. Moore's works (at least 9 of them, including Watchmen, V, Killing Joke, From Hell, and Lost Girls). Alas, I'm no scholar, so all I can say is that while his views on anarchy are spot-on, his views on Shamanism were disproved by a Disney villain www.youtube.com/watch?t=42&v...

I know at least one fairly prominent animator who took a one year break per decade of animating. Meaning the process is either THAT time consuming or I can do that too. ^^
