If you've read The LineFolk of London books 1-3, but not yet read The Lord Of Sloane Square, a companion novella, then you are missing out! It tells the story of Lord, a mysterious man with a dark Victorian past, but a heart of, almost, gold. mybook.to/lordofsloanesquare

It's a life-changing investment that will see you 1) talking to an inanimate object like a pet, 2) realising how much crap you leave on the floor for it to get stuck on, 3) agonising over which 'voice' it should use as it cries 'wheels are suspended!!!!'

For me, as a mild sufferer of SAD, October has always been the crappest month. Grey skies descend, and it's 6 months before there is realistic hope of a warm day. But October 1st has dawned with brilliant blue skies, and horses playing outside my window. So, for once, happy October.

The Terminus Of All Things, my very British urban portal fantasy, is one year old today! Yay! Show it some birthday love, because its younger siblings are far more popular, and no one wants a bitter older brother (I've seen S2 of The Gentlemen) mybook.to/terminusofallthings

I was about to post that I was one short of 200 preorders for Monstrous Bloodlines (book 4 in the LineFolk Of London series) and would anyone fancy pushing it over the line. While I was thinking about this, someone pushed it over the line.

We keep chickens. One of them got so sick a couple of weeks ago that I was hours away from taking it on the 'final journey' to the vet. But I decided to nurse it instead, and today it has a new name—Lazarus. Yes, I mis-gendered my chicken. I probably also just blasphemed.
