Holy Betteridge’s Law Batman. The answer is ‘No, of course not, actually it was climate change’, but zero marks to the SMH sub editor for suggesting otherwise

Snapshot of SMH website summary of article re Spain/Portugal power outage. Headline is “Did renewables cause 60 million people to lose power”, body says that power had not been restored when a culture war began over the cause.

Instead of phone chargers buy one (several) of those multi, high power USB chargers listed long cables. If you pick the right one it will power your laptop as well as your phone and accessories

Srsly, in what possible way would mandating mobile service for the small number persons in the Australian Outback create ANY competition signals. The cost to develop and service vs revenue is miniscule. Fatuous.

Screenshot from Crikey article. Text:

Echoing comments made by the minister at the announcement, Department of Communications officials downplayed the risk of having a reliance on Starlink during a Senate estimates hearing by saying the policy would encourage competition in the low-Earth satellite market.

Also how does this loaf of bread work?

AI generates wholesome loaf of home-made bread except the exact size of the rattan basket it sits in with a 80 degree change of direction. Bread cannot be baked like this

The AI generated psalm book which from a distance might be thought to say ‘holy bible’ but is really nonsense letters something like ‘BOOV FACOOLY’

I have said it before. A ‘disruptor’ is a fictional weapon used by a Star Trek race originally portrayed as barbaric. It has no other meaning.

I wondered about this yesterday and tried it today and, well, birds aren’t real either.

Bing search at 1949 Sydney time on 23 November, confirms that birds are not real, citing 2 sources.

Very sad to say that the most excellent dog Sophie (black and white) has had to be put down today after a long battle with infection of the mouth, aged 10 1/2. Loved by all, survived by her sister Mia

I am delighted, DELIGHTED to read in the SMH the cliche I have expected for years, a ‘perfect storm’ of pleasant weather. In an article about unusual number of flies about.

Quote ‘A perfect storm of weather conditions, including a few showers, a mild winter, and warm spring temperatures have caused flies to emerge early from their cocoons and bug the city.
