Managed to pay the phone bill but it cost me half again as much because something is wrong with their system, their cx service AI is as bad as everyone else’s, and their store staff are poorly trained. Reading Life Beyond Us while eating a jalapeño cheeseburger.

I’m only a chapter in and I alreylove Jedidiah Berry’s Kill All Wizards.
Cover of Kill All Wizards by Jedediah Berry
Burly man holding a sword as big as himself in his right hand, sitting down and enjoying a spot of tea, the cup held by his left and, yes, his pinkie is out. He’s wearing a mauve suit, ripped in laces, with a yellow cravat. He has an eyepatch and his hair is styled so that I believe he toured with bands fronted by Burdon or Davies in the 60s and 70s.

Dallas has its own unique “I Voted” stickers this time. Neat.
I voted sticker that says that on a banner in the middle of the circle. The top depicts the downtown Dallas skyline and the words “Dallas Texas.” The bottom shows the traditional Texas longhorn silhouette with the left side colored blue and the right side colored red.

I’ve said DC is leaving money on the table by not collecting their Silver & Bronze Age war and western comics. This is partially rectified this week.

I've never read, never even looked for Bizarre Adventures #29. That's because of the cover story. I thought the issue was an adaption of Lawnmower Man the movie and not the short story it's based on. The story is Illustrated by Walt Simonson, so I'll start watching for it.

It occurred to me I first encountered Ron Randall's work in the Conqueror of Barren Earth backup feature in Warlord. I fell in love with Jinal but, in retrospect, it's obvious I wanted to be her. Someone at DC should see about collecting the backups and miniseries.

I couldn't tell you why deporting people minding their own business, going about their day offends my morals and sensibilities. It's not as if I had any strong role models when growing up.
Four panel comics grid with the first panel covering the length up top with the title, "Sanctuary," sitting between it and the bottom three. The top panel shows two men in suits entering a cafe, La Bella China. The Black man in a suit says, "Immigration! Nobody leaves this place!" The mustached white man in a suit, looks towards his right and says, "I'll get this one!" The teen he's looking at says "What? No!!"
Second panel has the white man in a suit saying "Don't get cute, kid. Outside and into the truck with the rest of 'em." He's brandishing handcuffs. The teen responds, "Wait! You can't do this!" A blond man with a goatee (Oliver Queen, aka the Green Arrow) comes up from behind and says, "You gotta be joking! That kid's been in this neighborhood longer than I have!"
Third panel has the kid saying "¡Si! Senor Queen...tell them who I am!"
Man in suit says, "Keep your mouth shut and stay out of this or I'll take you along for obstructing justice!" Ollie responds, "I'm not obstructing justice!"
Fourth panel shows Oliver taking a swing at the white man in a suit, knocking him backwards and saying "Now I am!"

"You will be visited by three spirits"
The woman on the right wearing the blue tights and gold boots, with long black hair, is Princess Ariel.
In the middle, wearing a fuzzy top open to show his pecs and fur boots (no kink shaming please) and carrying a jagged edge lightsaber he calls his "sunsword" is Thundarr the Barbarian.
On the left is a Wookie so embarrassed to be in the show, he told his people were called Moks just to hope it never got out. Instead of giving his name, he gave the school he was studying at, UCLA, which the producers took as his name calling him Ookla. They made him wear undies rather than letting everything fly free, as all Wookies have done since time immemorial. He now can't return home.

Godland is filled with evolution, cosmic enlightenment, alien uplift, posthumanism and sad bastards wanting to complete control of the human experiment for themselves. So, nothing at all that speaks to us today. The story seemed to be in conversation with Kirby's work on Captain Victory.
