Against the ones that *damage the brand,* and not all mods damage their brand- in fact, most of them don't! The mod community- including modded Gposers like us- are exactly that: a *community* within the playerbase that increases the game's appeal. As long as we respect the rules, we're fine.

Are more about how those things can (And do!) impact Square Enix as a company and FFXIV as a brand. It's not even about mods "affecting gameplay experience," because they don't take action against accessibility mods- because that would actively be a bad business move. They only take action- (2/3)

The only reason Square Enix exhibits a unilaterally "anti-mod" stance is because that's literally a requirement for them as a Japanese company beholden to Japanese law. When they do takedowns, it's over things like mods affecting new raid progression or the billboard fiasco- and THOSE (1/3)

Also, in many cases, that hatred of mods isn't even them actually hating *mods,* but the fact that they can't or don't know how to use them. As evidenced by them making characters exactly like "modbeasts" in other games, they're literally just mad it isn't them.

Finally got around to learning how the Invisible Skin mod works, and as such... ~ Unforgotten Knight ~ Even in Ishgard, there are quiet nights where the tavern is all but empty. On such nights, Gibrillont can be convinced to share drinks with a lonely guest- some of which are quite unorthodox...

And Xander as a Healer is already Sage, but as a DPS would fight with a lightblade somewhere between Samurai and Red Mage (Think Xenoblade Chronicles X's Photon Saber weapon class), and as a Tank would likely be closest to Gunbreaker, emphasizing evasion and mirror-style deflection.

Jay as a Tank would most likely be a variant of Dark Knight, but which used Viper weapons instead; as a DPS, would be Dragoon; and as a Healer, would be a variant of White Mage, which instead utilized Shadow, Lightning, and Fire.

Personally, I've always thought it's more interesting to think about what *Gaia* might theoretically class-switch to, since her existing combat style is defined by Loghrif, so taking on a new combat style might be an amazing self-actualization story beat for her.
