Could compile the S-M2000 emulator and having fun with it now. XGworks isn't a great sequencer tho. :D #YamahaXG #YamahaMU2000 #MIDIMusic

To be honest, I expected this video to gain far less attention, but apparently I was wrong. youtu.be/ZmQ84M6BQKQ Now I just wished my music would get half of those views...

My video talking about music production on Linux is likely going to be 22 minutes long... wtf who is gonna watch this crap.

After Release Candidates (RC) 1, 1.1, 1.2, 2, 2.1, 3, 3.1, 3.5, 4, 4.1, 4.2, 4.5 and 4.6 my current WIP track Levitation State finally reached version RC5. I hope this will be the last. I finally wanna release that damn thing. I hate my perfectionism.

JayB @jaybmusic.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

My track has been restored and continues and is now close to being done. And MusE starts to behave funny. I wish I could hire someone to fix the bugs for me. But maybe once I make my video about it some programmers will join the project. #Linux #Linuxmusic #trance #trancemusic #asot #astateoftrance

Currently checking out #TIDAL as an alternative to #Spotify, mainly because you can automatically hide #aimusic. Also the family pack is cheaper.

Suno könnte auch gern die Veröffentlichung generierter Songs begrenzen...

JayB @jaybmusic.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

I was able to recreate the project. All MIDI settings were still there but I had to recreate the tracks and sequences. Took me an hour but now I'm back where I was. I also build a little bash script running in the background that saves a copy of the .med file every 10 minutes.

050

JayB @jaybmusic.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

I was able to recreate it. All Midi settings were also saved so it was mainly re-inserting all midi tracks and recreating all sequences for my hardware gear plus some automations on the sub groups.

010

JayB @jaybmusic.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Nice. MusE crashed during save and now the project file is damaged with all of the external MIDI tracks missing. The automatic backup was last made when I originally saved the project a second time... Do I really want to make this all over again?

New EP "The Memories We Keep" is OUT NOW on YouTube and Bandcamp! Sweet late 2000s uplifting trance sound made using only a Waldorf Blofeld for all synth tracks. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETC1... jaybmusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-me... #upliftingtrance #trancemusic #trancefamily #waldorfblofeld

I mean I had a track only made with the Blofeld about 90% ready. But this is just so much more promising. (Plus the software version makes preparing this so much easier. But the hardware version sounds better.)

Oooh, so you CAN load my old JP-8080 sound set into the JE-8086. Not all sounds work due to missing 8080 features but hey... small trip down memory lane. This set is over 18 years old after all. (And man, I've come a long way...)

The demo songs of #Yamaha #PSR-340 have been extracted by @jaybmusic.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy and I in #MIDI format, ending the long quest of finding a version of "Take Off!". Now only the NP-V80 version is left...

I just noticed that these three records never have been merged with my Spotify profile. And to be honest, it's because I lost connection with these tracks. Like they were made by someone else, not me. Reasons for that include the time they were made and the label they got released on.
