It's 2025 which means that Don Sweeney will be the Bruins GM for a decade. He's been the GM for a third of my life now and it's no wonder why I don't care as much for hockey anymore when he has infinite job security because he inherited an amazing core yet won nothing with it. Happy new year!

I'm not even a "rAnGZ" kinda guy, I should be after the Celtics won lol, but there was a weird narrative that he was better than some guys who DID lead their teams to a championship because of a few select games. It was just.....bizarre.

I liked Jimmy Butler, he has had incredible playoff performances and will give him credit. But people treated him as an infallible winning player despite no rings and it never sat right with me. The fact that he wants to leave (if this is true) now that things are tough contradicts those views

I was heartbroken when the Mets were eliminated but I look back on that team like I do with the '13 Red Sox (who won!) and '17 Celtics as teams that weren't supposed to go far, but did anyway. Next year won't be the case for them and that's okay. Enjoy the seasons when you know something is there.

Listen, I've had a rough 2024. And the run that the Mets went on last season was the type of run that I needed and didn't care about the outcome. I allowed myself to just embrace the fun of the season, albeit it was tough during the numerous times facing elimination, but made the highs worthwhile.
